New York Mets 2025 Season

I was literally coming here to post this 😆 Exciting stuff. 3 homers in one game is crazy power for such a young kid. He's got time to put it all together with Lindor roaming the middle.
Because of his age he probably doesn’t come stateside until he hits 18. Think 2027. Currently the kid will need a babysitter. Language barrier, missing home. All of it. 🤣 So far away but interesting to watch players develop or…NOT.

Look at Pena's game log. Not only has he started to put it together already after that 9 game stretch, but his walks is very impressive. He's already walked 10 times in 17 games. For context, when Maurico was on that level, he walked 13 times in 57 games. :ROFLMAO:

Advanced eye and only 17.

Mauricio was the most impatient player I can remember in the organization. 3 homers in a game is not easy to do. Anyone can hit it out once in a while if they hit it on the screws, but 3x in a game suggests it's more than luck.

Canning ruptured Achilles
Ugh. No surprise. Having ruptured my Achilles they showed the Trainer testing Canning right on the field by feeling and running his finger along the back of his calf. Takes one minute and they knew. Probably wanted confirmation from MRI. Season over. Tough break for Canning.

Took time out from the Mets and went to see Cyclones in Coney Island. They are in first place and won first half. It was a fun time as like all minor league teams they really entertain between innings and play decent ball. No bad seats; decent food and good beer selection; plus, fireworks after the game (and every Friday night. If you have an open night, they are worth a visit. Parking is right by stadium and a lot of different promotions.

How did Relish do in the hot dog race?

It's a beautiful stadium and a really nice experience. I take my son at least once a season. It's hard to beat a minor league night game when the weather is nice, and the Cyclones are/were absolutely loaded. Benge was just promoted to AA (they dropped Ramirez to make room) and Houck was promoted to Brooklyn from St. Lucie.
