New York Mets 2025 Season

The argument I read last night is that batters are adjusting to Cannings adjustments. Let see what Hefner and co can do with him. Need to keep it together for the next 3 weeks until Senga and Manaea solidify the rotation.
yep. As bama pointed out though, knowing Senga he might take longer to get back

I think you can forget about Senga until late July or early August. The ASG is July 15. That’s roughly 4 weeks away. Then you’ll have the “ramp up” period. Senga is notorious for not pitching unless he’s 100%. You’ll hear about setbacks etc. He won’t be “rushed”.

Bigger issue is Manaea and Montas. Both are pitching but they’ve been terrible in their minor league starts. Gonna be a bumpy few weeks.

Not too worried about Manaea Minor League numbers. He'll be dealing when he gets up here. Montas I am just not seeing a fit right now. I wish he could work with Hefner for a month to change him like he did Manaea.

They won’t win anything in the three years, so in a way keeping him just runs the risk of him getting an arm injury and losing value for trading. Jumping on it now might be the best move for the future of their franchise. But don’t get the sense they are bold enough
That’s the unique thing with the Pirates…as bad as they are now, they look to be much worse the next two years. They are so old. Their second best hitter is a 38 year old McCutchen, their second best pitcher is a 34 year old Heaney, and both are on one year deals. Somehow they don’t even have a top ten game system either which is mind boggling.

An ace is really a luxury item IMO.

Gonna bet ownership is tight and still making some $$

The Pirates are taking all their revenue sharing and luxury tax money from the big market teams and pocketing it. They’re not putting back into the franchise it seems.

Mets just took as ass kicking from Tampa but folks like Sternberg shouldn’t be able to have a controlling interest

The Rays need to move to Brooklyn. The Mets and Yankees can both veto the move but I think the League should just let them do it.

Have the Liotta estate pitch in and they can be called the Brooklyn Ray Liotta's

Raining in Atlanta. Game will be delayed.

In fact, rain forecast

Rain Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.

Peterson pitches a great game but how, how do you walk the 9 hitter Nick Allen? How can I be pissed but goddamn you just can’t walk the guy.

Right there Mendoza needed to pull Peterson. He didn’t.

Reliever loads bases with no outs yank his ass!

OMG. Just a house of horrors for us. I believe that instruction card on Acunas wrist may have fooled Soto.

Lots of questions for Mendoza. This guy Jared Young is terrible. Tonight he swung and mostly missed every pitch he saw. Why is he batting? Why is he on the team? What are we doing with Alvarez? His ABs are instant outs. He’s missing by two feet. Maybe a couple of weeks in Syracuse?
