At first I thought centerfielder must not have hustled but replay showed he was playing very deep and charged the ball and uncorked throw but it was a very weak two bouncer.

Throw hit the mound also , slowing it down. A good throw would have nailed him. No question after he stopped at second he was running to score as he rounded 3rd.

Holmes had a good outing last night. While he didn't have many K's, he had no walks and a ton of ground ball outs. He only threw 70 pitches and could have easily gone 6 innings if not for the delay. Let's hope Clay keeps up the transition for bull pen to starting pitcher. Guess we could say Clay, No Bull!
