Baseball isn't always fair. Mets score 3 runs on a pop fly triple. Nats win on a bleeder up the middle that hit mcneils foot and runner scores from first.

At first I thought centerfielder must not have hustled but replay showed he was playing very deep and charged the ball and uncorked throw but it was a very weak two bouncer.

Throw hit the mound also , slowing it down. A good throw would have nailed him. No question after he stopped at second he was running to score as he rounded 3rd.

McNeil master of no position showed on that last play. Acuna gets to that ball.
