New York Mets 2025 Season

I'll go with:
  • Win NL East with 93 wins
  • All-Stars are: Holmes, Lindor, Soto, and Alonso
  • McNeil never gets his starting job back, traded at the deadline
  • Bullpen is top 5 in baseball
  • Make it NLCS, lose to Dodgers in 7
 
I think they get off to a slow start but battle back to win 90 games and get a wild card. Hoping the roster devops to where Acuna, Baty and maybe Gilbert can help this year. Need some youth. Lets move on from McNeil.
 
Mets set Spring Training attendance records and season ticket sales records in the same year. I mean it’s almost like if you spend money trying to win the fans will come. Sounds just like St. John’s. Who knew?

I like that Baty was given nothing. He went out and won the job. No freebies. He’s got nothing left to prove in the minors. He needs to seize the opportunity and do it at the Major League level. That’s where he’s struggled.

I am hoping he pulls a Vientos here. Win the job and never go back. We’ll see if he can do it.
 
Really hope Baty and Acuna take advantage of McNeil being out. Time to move on from Mcneil. Team needs younger cheaper more athletic players to start filling roles.

I've been getting a lot of Timo Perez vibes from Acuna and Kevin Elster feelz from Baty.

I hope I'm wrong.

Would love to see The Squirrel fly again.

5 Hits, 3 Walks and HBP in a pear tree is not a good way to start.

Of course the Astros throw a wild pitch that hits squarely on the backstop and come right back to the catcher to throw the runner out at 3rd base. You can’t make it up. Don’t feel like our day.

Seriously they had their chances just didn’t get the big hit today. The Mets have to overcome the walks problem. The Astros rally was aided and abetted by walks and a HBP. Holmes is new but the problem plagued us last season. No time to dwell on the loss. Long season. Bounce back tomorrow night, fingers crossed.
