Don’t let Mark get hot
While the Mets have been conservative with Tong, it may make sense to promote him mid-September, even if it is for a bulk reliever role.
Also, it looks like Sproat time. He was scratched from his scheduled start for Syracuse today.

Scratched to get reps in the bullpen today. Seems like a great piggyback option for Manaea or Senga

He’s feeling it. Took till August but even I feel like he’s going to hit it hard every time.
Funny thing happens when he sees fastballs. If only there was a spot in the order between two hall of famers where he’d see them 4x as often.
2/3 homers have been fastballs.
He’s too experienced to be getting hammered like this. At this stage of the year, half the players in AAA started the year in A and AA ball. This was his 32nd AAA appearance. He’s a year older than Blade Tidwell.

Stearns should’ve been more open to trading him this past offseason, or in that Heyman reported Ryan trade.
Yea rough last inning for Peterson there, but 2-2 ballgame here… time for the offense to step up
I like Mullins. Feel like he’s always working counts full and taking good at bats
It’s the “what if” with him. What if he can rebuild his 4 seamer or turn that sinker into an elite offering.
Right now I just don’t like him as a pitcher.
