I have been told that the getting rid of the seats with the backs in the second level has been met with strong resistance and shot down. Hopefully that gets revisited soon and comes to fruition.

Interesting. I was told early in the year they were going to remove them this past summer but timing didn’t work out. Would be colossal disaster having them again. I’d rather take the benches at this stage

Timing over summer would be most ideal. Fairly sure that could have been all removed with a small crew in one day and hauled off to the nearest metal scrap yard.

I agree. Those extra seats will finally allow the school to schedule UConn at Carnesecca.

LaSalle university made a transformational upgrade in their old Gola arena that was a glorified high school gym. Did it for not much money and little time. More importantly, with seats.

Nice! and yet we continue to hear the same BS excuse that it’s not possible for us to do with CA Arena. Hire a company that comes up with solutions not one that points out problems.

LaSalle university made a transformational upgrade in their old Gola arena that was a glorified high school gym. Did it for not much money and little time. More importantly, with seats.

As nice as it is, and it looks fantastic, it home 3,000. Ours would need twice the seats and I’m sure a much larger footprint. Wouldn’t think it’s impossible, just a bunch of different aspects to take into consideration at SJU including space and MSG value.

I think CA has a larger footprint to work with. LaSalle's gola had no endline seating, but somehow does now.
