I am assuming he will be #1 in the seat selection process LOL

Yes, there was a reception to kick off the Hearts On Fire campaign where that was announced. I assume this is just to reiterate it because the groundbreaking is soon.

Bill J. has been a generous donor for some time. This residence Hall was named to honor Bill's brother.

On the subject of not bringing attention to themselves, Peter and Peg D'Angelo, already the major benefactor for D'Angelo Hall, declined to name the new Health Science center with his family name despite an additional $20 million gift. The new building was at the D'Angelo's request was named St. Vincents.

As the major benefactor of the new facility, Bill would own naming rights. It is totally up to him to name the new facility. Jim R also pledged $5 million towards the facility and has long been one of the most generous donors in our history.

In addition to the residence hall, the entrance to athletic administration offices is also named the Janetschek center.

If you visit Cooperstown baseball HOF, there is an exhibit named The Janetschek wing. Bill is a major benefactor of the HOF and a minority owner of the Miami Marlins. His son owns the NY Boulders minor league baseball team.

As a former Century Hall RA, I wish he would have just let us keep the name of Century Hall and name something else on the campus with the family last name. Tradition!
