I think the time has come in college basketball where we have to accept the fact that parity is here more than ever and it is silly to build up the winning coach and drag down the loser after every game.
The tournament contests are showing there is very little difference between the top ten and number forty and between forty and eighty the difference is even less. This has been the trend for many years . It is not so much the coaches of mid majors are so good ,but the fact that there are so many good players.
For the past twenty five years colleges have dropped admission requirements which resulted in a tremendous pool of players. The coaches of Manhattan, Mercer, Albany etc. may all be good coaches but the current results are due to the pool of good players.
