NCAA Tournament

That was for sure a huge call and could have gone either way. I needed Texas to win but cant blame it on that call.
They gave it away long before that imho.
They absolutely blew it and wasted a 12 point lead late. But at that point it was tied under a minute and one team gets to go to the line for 2. It might have lost them the game. AND ME A GRAND 😂. But good thing I took Eric and the boards advice and hedged pretty well. Now I just gotta root for Miami or uconn unfortunately.

A more interesting point is that the average seed of a final four team this year is 6

Watching CBS sports network 5 guys all agreed. Game announcers all agreed. Are you watching some sort of black ops channel? 🤣😂😉😊
Oh the audacity to call Raftery or Wright a talking head. SHAME 😂This right here is the epitome of a talking head

Point being, reasonable minds could disagree, unless you want to believe announcers and refs have never made an incorrect call before.

Hear you and it cost me $700 if, and that’s a big if they could have beat UCONN in final 4. But it should never have gotten close to that point. Texas just lost its poise.

That Creighton fiasco at the end cost me. For me to win both of my pools now I need UConn to win one game and then lose in the championship. All I needed was Creighton to win today, or Texas to win today...

Glad you hedged on Miami!!!

I remember Larranaga when he took his Bowling Green team into Alumni Hall in 1994 to be the sacrificial lamb in the Lapchick Tournament.

It was Felipe Lopez's first or second game and the anticipation was incredible.

But just looking at life and trajectories, I would have easily placed money then on Felipe becoming an all American and NBA all star.

I would've been less likely to bet that Larranaga would take two different teams to the Final Four in what has become a stellar career.

As a fan, this has been an awesome tournament to watch. It was a pleasure to see the blue-bloods go home early. Lots of great basketball and equally great story lines.

The basketball over the past few weeks doesn't remotely resemble what we as fans have had to watch for far too long. The teams that survived played intense defense, defended the 3 well, didn't turn the ball over and didn't waste possessions, and had both 3 point shooters and scorers that could get to the rim and score under pressure. A list of everything our past coaches failed to put together in terms of strategy and roster construction.

Creighton first five played mega minutes and it may have resulted in tired legs down stretch. Thin bench strength has been CU’s Achilles heel.
All true . But , the foul call on Nembhard on the last play was weak . I don’t disagree that he he has his hand on his back but , I didn’t think it affected the shot . And , in comparison to stuff the Refs were letting go earlier on the game , it was a very poor call by the Ref that gave the game to SDState . Very weak !

Creighton didn’t deserve to win the game. Had plenty of opportunities to knock out the Aztecs. Got a gift when Seiko threw inbound pass by their basket.

The game Creight played on Sunday was a total reversal of the game they played on Friday. Against Princeton they played the way we saw them all year; they had brilliant passing that lead to numerous assists for easy baskests. On Sunday, SD took them out of the style they were used to playing. Friday-18 assists (ang for year was 16) and Sunday-9 assists. Also SD had critical Offensive boards which McDermott said they needed to stop at half time. The same thing happened to Bama vs. SD. Bama scored 64 points while averaging 82 per game for season; Creighten scored 56 while averaging 77 per game. SD played good defense and that was why they won

SD an Outstanding defensive team who make a habit out of winning ugly.
