Texas let Xavier dribble out the clock to around 20 seconds down 3.
I was pleased to see it. What was the coach thinking, Xavier would miss a shot, not be fouled at all, Tx would get the
rebond and run down and score a 3.???
That's possible but improbably...I would have pressed hard and fouled..try to extend the game

Then Freemantle missed the shot but no-one blocked out Swain....game over.

A lot of caches will play straight up in that scenario. Xavier is a very good FT shooting team.

Get the stop and look for a quick 2 going towards the basket with some contact or kick if 3 is open,

The heavens have prevailed and X won the game against the fraudulent SEC.

Great Win for the X men.

There is a message here for us tonight , the Refs ( Breeding, etc ) got X in foul trouble very quickly and taking Freemantle and Conwell out of their game .

Getting star Players in foul trouble on questionable calls is not a good look for the Officials but , this was proof positive of disregard by them .

Miller did a great job managing the foul trouble and this was a great Win for our BE Teams .

But , we need to beware of similar action in our games as well . Especially if we face Kansas , which gets kid gloves treatment .
The NCAA wants to justify their 14 SEC picks out of 16 teams .
Only SCarolina and LSU didn’t make the tourney .
But , I’m sure they will try next year . 16 out of 16 will be their goal .

The NCAA and SEC partnership is devilish on the making .

Always root for the BE in the tourney, so trying very hard to root for Creighton, but my hatred of Ashworth is really gumming up the works over here.
