Duke is one of those teams, that will get ratings no matter what.
Auburn and Florida have big football fanbases. I'm sure some of those fans jumped on the bandwagon, and I'm sure that many others are fans of both teams.
Agreed. Also three of the most seasoned and experienced squads in recent final fours. At this point I think I have to favor Sampson’s experience as the tiebreaker. Houston in a good one.Two of the best final four games in a while.
Easy come easy goThat Duke meltdown cost me a $500 pool
The thing with him is that every time they are in a "have to have it" spot (which is more than they should be given the talent on that team, but I digress), Clayton takes the shot and then makes the shot. And then you get to a place where you're like, nah, he can't possible make ANOTHER one - and he does.He might actually compare to pre-injury Jay Williams.
Good one on JB, both quicker off the bounce than it appears to naked eye & both use their body well driving. The thing with him is that every time they are in a "have to have it" spot (which is more than they should be given the talent on that team, but I digress), Clayton takes the shot and then makes the shot. The guy that reminds me the most of is Nova-era Jalen Brunson. Complete with the lack of emotion, the "kill shots are just my business" vibe.
Absolute and total assassin who will be drafted lower than the results say he should and will outperform a bunch of guys drafted higher.
I lol'd at this... best thing I've seen in a bit hahahah
Exactly - it isn't just the clutch shot making and the even keel, it's the build, body control, deceptive quickness. Clayton a much better 3 point shooter than Brunson in college (at least to my recollection) but the rest of the package is just very reminiscent to me. But of course we're always looking for comps and that isn't always fair to the player.Good one on JB, both quicker off the bounce than it appears to naked eye & both use their body well driving.
Rewatch some old Jay Will highlights. He was a top 2 pick. Clayton great but not college Jay Will. Perhaps better future (injury aside)He might actually compare to pre-injury Jay Williams.
I agree 100% with your retort! This is just outrageously silly.
Do you even know what Sampson was rung up for? I'll help you out: he and his staff were sending too many texts to recruits. No, really.
Bruce Pearl is a crook and always was. Ditto a hundred other coaches.
What Kelvin Sampson did was quaint by comparison, and the punishment they gave him - while turning a blind eye to the real crooks in the game - was ridiculous at the time. It is Exhibit A in the NCAA's abuse of power at the time which is how it wound up with no power now - it violated the "pigs get fat, hogs get slaughtered" rule.
And what happened to Indiana after that was their own fault. They screwed it up before they hired Sampson and then they screwed it up after he left. Hiring him might be the only intelligent thing they've done since Bobby Knight exited stage right.
You are dead wrong about most things but you are especially dead wrong about this one
C’mon. I posted while he was at Iona that he would be an NBA player and I feel exactly the same two years later. He might actually compare to pre-injury Jay Williams.
This is just outrageously silly.

UNC academically cheated for players and nothing happened. But sure, a few extra texts...I agree 100% with your retort!
Kelvin Sampson is the most unappreciated coach in college basketball.
I have Houston in the championship.
