No I am not blaming the officials for Duke's loss. They turned it over late, they missed the front end of a 1 and 1. They failed to close out the game after they were up 5 and got a technical foul, 1 shot and the ball less than a minute.

That is all on Duke. That is not my point.

My point is if the shoe was on the other foot and Duke looked dead and they rallied from down 9 with 2 minutes left and that included a call such as the one assessed to Flagg when they were awarded 2 free throws to take the lead late the conspiracy theories would be going wild now.

If we had the national player of the year and possibly best freshman in a generation and he got called for an over the back in the final four up 1…..it would be a topic on this board forever.

Everyone easy to say Duke gets all the calls. It’s ok to admit when they don’t…or drop the narrative at the very least.

Totally agree. I thought Houston would need to hang close the entire game. They are tenacious. Cooper Flagg is outstanding and Kneuppel as well. Should be a great final.

The officiating in the Tournament is terrible . But , Tony Padilla , one of the worst toever wear the Zebra stripes has just handed the game to Houston .
While Duke’s collapse was self inflicted , the Refs in these games look like Clowns .
The constant usage of the replay is getting preposterous .

I don’t recall who was the Ref who called that5 th foul on KR Vs Arkansas ?
Anyone remember ?

In the Auburn game , Bloom was never
Called for moving screens which he does on
nearly every play he’s involved in .
He also pushes , grabs all the time
He must know , if he fouls on every play . the Refs can’t call all of them in the first half .

He looked like he played hurt Vs Florida and wasn’t a big factor in the 2nd half .

But , the NCAA has to get to work on improving the officiating . It’s making a mockery of the game .
