NCAA Tournament Thread

you spelled "Shaka Smart" wrong
I agree. Shaka Smart is not a big game coach. Shaka Smart has been a Division 1 Coach for 14 seasons and has reached the NCAA Tournament 11 times. But he has only reached the second weekend once, last year's Sweet 16 appearance. In the Big East this year, Marquette's regular season record since February 1st was 4 wins and 6 losses.

BE bests vs SEC this weekend.

SJU vs Arkansas

Creighton vs Auburn

UCONN vs Florida

How do we fare?
Johnnies win.

Creighton has a shot.

Uconn would have to have ball, mcneely and karabust all shoot the lights out to win which I dont see happening.

Ill say 2-1. Johnnies win and Creighton pulls the upset.

Not being a wise ass Mase but we ain’t playing the SEC. We are beating Arkansas tomorrow.

I think Creighton will hang around but Auburn will squeeze by.

Yukon needs to play a lot better than tonight. Oklahoma should not have been in the Tournament. Yukon plays like that they will be mashed. Florida will do what we did to Diarra. RP gave them the map. Pressure. Florida has too many bodies.

4-2 opening round for Big East. Some chances to upset 1 seeds. The committee clearly sought to screw us.
Know the SEC big guns are still in but thought 14 bids was ridiculous. Hopefully the Big East puts up a good fight this weekend and get an upset or two along with an SJU victory.

B10 8-0 and B12 6-1, maybe West Virginia and Indiana should’ve received a couple of those SEC bids.

Creighton has all of the tools to beat anyone, including Auburn. Hard to see UCONN beating Florida. disappointed in Xavier and Marquette yesterday, neither one played well. Kam was a no-show.
Illinois when fully healthy has a ton of talent. I think X got beat by a better team. Marquette was disappointing but they haven’t been right in months. Creighton and UConn winning 8/9 games was huge. Hopefully one can pull an upset.

Marquette really benefited in the beginning of the season by essentially keeping the same roster as last year. The learning curve was not as steep as teams full of newcomers/transfers. Unfortunately, they never addressed getting a physical big down low and in the end it cost them.

The whole reason Shaka is even a thing is because he took VCU to the Final Four in 2011. C'mon man, thats like College Basketball 101.
(This does not take away from your overall point about Shaka being overrated)
