NCAA Tournament seeding

Agree on Florida and Auburn. Having watched all these teams my gut says I’d rather see Tennessee.
Duke can make me look silly saying this but I'd probably rather play them than either team. They're big and have four starters who can shoot well (+ the freshman Evans off the bench, who's a sniper). Their defense is outstanding, but they're also beating a lot of pretty garbage teams. But they are lacking that dynamic guard who can get them a bucket come a close game in March. Flagg's one consistent weakness all year has been giving him the ball and telling him to get you a bucket with two minutes left. I like Proctor and James as role guys, but I don't trust them to deliver you to the promise land.

Mark Sears and Zekai Zeigler on the other hand.... (or Clayton Jr., or Cryer, or Kadary, or RJ....

Agree w much of what you said, but still suffer from “Billy Singleton Virus” when we got hosed in Dance playing Duke. The powers to be imo want them in Final 4.

My dream is our 2/3 pairing is Wisconsin. Obviously gotta get to the sweet 16 first. But I think we’d beat the crap out of Wisconsin. I’m also not scared of Michigan state either as they have similar shooting issues. Pitino/Izzo sweet sixteen would be electric

I've been eyeing Wisconsin all year. Had and still have a strange feeling we see them in March.

Selfishly I've been pulling to play Rounds 1/2 in Raleigh since my parents and siblings live there, but that appears to be pretty unlikely given our seeding will be surrounded by SEC teams, and if St. John's does get to pick it'd be Providence followed by Newark (which would be awesome and best for the team).

There also aren't many western teams around the 2-4 lines, so am I correct in thinking we'll most likely end up in either Providence (if we get to pick) or Seattle (if we don't get to pick)?

If it’s Raleigh it’s gonna get pretty rough with the Carolina Johnnie Crew 😀

Trust me Duke fans are already buying and no chance they are not in the region. Atlanta will probably go up once SEC fans see which team(S) are in that region.

I think Florida scares me the most out of everyone. Every time I've seen them they look super damn fast.

I was just going to reply that selfishly I am hoping for the 2 sees in the Midwest region to play in Raleigh. No travel or hotels for me that way, and no hotels for some of the other posters here that have become good friends!

Even if we're #2 in the Midwest, we're still going to play in Providence first, because of the Pod System.

We really have to grab a 2 seed. The other 2 seeds are menacing...wouldn't want to see them in a 2/3 game in the sweet 16.
I am not so scared of the Big Ten teams. Maybe because I watch almost all of the Maryland games and they all seem somewhat inconsistent. Michigan State is hot right now but they didn't look great when they played Maryland. Most of them remind me of the better teams in the Big East.

Disagree. I think Duke, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida are bad matchups for us. Too much athletic length.

Obviously Houston is the best high-seed opponent for us. But I think Alabama would be interesting since they are very 3 oriented and we are good at taking that away. They're better than us but I think we would have a shot to win that one.
