NCAA Tournament seeding

Disagree. I think Duke, Auburn, Tennessee, Florida are bad matchups for us. Too much athletic length.

Obviously Houston is the best high-seed opponent for us. But I think Alabama would be interesting since they are very 3 oriented and we are good at taking that away. They're better than us but I think we would have a shot to win that one.
I guess what I'd say about Duke is, I feel good about beating them if we're tied with four minutes left. But there's also a not-bad chance they blow us out (like the other three you mention).

How about 3 in the east with better matchups?

But of course I would take the easier path to advancing.
Seriously, there are no “easier” paths. Cliches get that way because they are true, if a team has legit NC aspirations, play anyone, anywhere, anytime. And as Herb Brooks said to Jim Craig in “Miracle”, “ don’t forget to bring your game”.

The way this year has gone there will be a lot of upsets in the tournament. As coach said it all comes down to matchups. Generally I would think we want to avoid a three shooting high scoring team. That said if we frustrate a team like that we can win. Florida went into Tennessee and scored 44 points got beat by 20. I think we should stop worrying about the ones and two seeds we may get matched up with and take things one game at a time. We do know the committee always makes some "interesting matchups" so I would not be surprised to see New Mexico, Louisville and/or Kentucky on our path. Enjoy the ride.

On College Game Day, Jay Bills picked us for the Sweet 16 and would go as far as Elite 8. Seth Greenberg has us as an Elite Eight and possible Final Four. Jay Williams is concerned about how the refs call the games and can see us getting upset due to foul trouble (same concern he voiced earlier in he show about SEC teams). I didn’t hear Reece Davis’ opinion.

All fair opinions.

Foul trouble is always my biggest fear…a # of guys tend to use hands too much and certainly too far from basket…need to learn when to hold ‘em and when to fold ‘em
Foul trouble + missing free throws + stupid three point shooting by the other team is the recipe. Scott getting in foul trouble in particular scares me.
