NCAA Tournament seeding

I’m not worried about Arkansas or Kansas. Our team is built for having to play another game on one days rest and prep. Those teams will have a hard time not turning it over and playing well in the second half.

West Virginia, Boise State or Indiana to name a few. UNC literally beat no one. To me all they had to do was go 4-9 instead of 1-12 and they would rightfully say we beat so and so. They couldn’t do that.

Part of my point is, as a blue blood they get opportunities other schools do not. St, John’s would have trouble getting that many Q1s on the schedule. They squandered that edge yet are rewarded.

I won’t die on this hill but it’s a joke. Anyway Go St. John’s.

Listened to the selection committee on Mad Dog Sirius XM a few minutes ago. Their defense of the UNC pick was literally they lost to good teams.

Needless to say they are being raked over the coals on that one.

I realize the selection committee has a tough job when it comes to the last bids but I resent their reasoning when they select an undeserving blue blood like NC and then make sure they tell the gullible hosts that the head of the committee who just happens to be the NC AD stepped out of the room , closed the door and nothing to do with the selection.
They take us for idiots and to think that a host would object and ask for concrete reasons is asking too much.
There really is no reason why these selections can't be made by an independent third party. There is so much money rewarded and at stake, that of course it's going to be tipped in the favor of the major conferences. They try to explain but their explanations don't even make sense. Of course it's partially rigged.

Fun fact the head of the committee is the UNC President
That happens a lot. Cunningham was chosen well before the season started.

ADs from prominent schools are routinely chosen to chair the committee and they have to remove themselves from the room when the committee is discussing that team. It is common place. It is just this year you had a school that normally would routinely make the Tourney and their AD was the Chair but this year that team was squarely on the bubble.

Notorious hater Jeff Goodman said we can go 0-20 from 3pt against Arkansas or Kansas and still beat them, lol.
Any time Rick has had a level playing field, talent-wise, he has coached circles around Calipari. Not worried about that matchup. Pitino v. Self would be very interesting though. I don't think they've ever faced off.

Ok, looking ahead, who wins the Kansas/Arkansas game? Fland is back but has not played for a few months. I have not watced either team much this year.
