NCAA Tournament seeding

First off good to see you posting.
Forgot about your Duke allegiance thing though lol.

Have to ask is that like a white guy college basketball thing to act more hurt than you actually are?

First game against Creighton, Asshead acting as if he just went through the William Wallace torture and I don’t think he sat out for even a minute.

2nd game Kalbrenner acted as if his leg got amputated and while he did miss time, came back in and didn’t miss a game.

Finally Flagg rolls around like he was Joe Theismann having his leg snapped in half. They had EMT’s a wheel chair and I think a priest.

Thanks and hope you are doing well!
I’m always rooting St. John’s over Duke don’t worry.

On your post. I mean, is deivon really as hurt as he is acting? (I love deivon for the record but still.) Paul Pierce in the nba finals certainly wasn’t (and maybe just defecated in his pants).

High ankle sprains can feel that bad - cooper Flagg is not one to act hurt - give him a pass. He’s not the typical overreactor I think you are referring to, and don’t put him in the Duke JJ or Grayson Allen category. Just bc he’s white and plays for Duke doesn’t mean he fits the profile otherwise.

I mean the fact Duke sat him for both UnC and Louisville shows it was a legit injury. Flagg is an awesome player and kid - you’re allowed to not hate a dukie once in a while ! ;)

Does anyone have a link that shows what regional location the winners of second round head to?

If we are west is that San Francisco?

The only scenario I see that puts SJU in East is if committee deems Duke no. 1 overall seed. Then Duke gets choice and they may choose Atlanta-South. If that is the case then maybe Auburn or Florida gets put in East and then you could see SJU as 2 in Newark.

But unlikely, I still think Auburn gets no. 1 overall.

For anyone who has gone to this before, are prices for hotels, tickets, and Amtrak going to explode after the Providence region is confirmed tonight? Not certain I'll go (or what time) so don't want to pull the trigger yet, but hoping the prices don't get too crazy if I wait.

Think Duke will choose northeast over Atlanta every day of the week especially with an SEC 2 lurking.

I am starting to buy more into why the committee may not care about SEC teams being #1 and #2 in a region. What would really be the difference?

They’d still meet in the Elite 8. If anything, committee should care more about 1/4 seeds matching, and 2/7 + 3/6 + 4/5, etc.

Can reserve hotel now and have until Tuesday to cancel.

At the point where I don’t care. We’re gonna be a 2 regardless. Just give me the bracket already.

I’d prefer not to play Florida or a Houston please.

I see your point, but also why not just separate them especially since doing so just generally makes sense from a bracket perspective as well

I’m not sure but my gut feeling for Providence is prices will go way higher for tix because a ton of Johnnie’s fans are going to go. I plan to buy as soon as our game time is announced . Hotel I’ve had booked for 2 weeks I don’t know if they will go parabolic from here a lot of guys have booked already. Amtrak no clue

They would have to change their rules.

Unless I’m interpreting this wrong from their building guidelines:

Each of the first four teams selected from a conference shall be placed in different regions if they are seeded on the first four lines.”

So the SEC would top 4 are Auburn, Florida, Tennessee, and Alabama. They would all have to be in different regions because they are in the top 16 seeds.

I would drool over this bracket if it were to come to fruition....

Yeah just makes no sense to have us with Duke and Tenn with Auburn when you can just swap them easily.

Also, believe it's a rule that you can't be matched up with a team you played in the regular season in the 1st round of the tournament so that would eliminate Bryant as a 1st round opponent for us. I might be wrong on that rule though
