NCAA Tournament seeding

we did our part I agree with GULP Mullins Revenge we deserve a 1. We will get a 2 hopefully play providence. Tomorrow we will start an ncca who's going thread so guys can get together. We will have a big Maher party one of h]the days unless the school is doing something

I think we end up in the South region with Auburn.

I think we draw Bobby Mo in round one.

Assuming Missouri is a 7 as projected on bracketmatrix right now there's a 50/50 chance they'll be in our region. They're solid and a SJU v Mizzou spread will be within a basket if not pickem. There's some other really high ceiling teams that have a good chance to land on that 7 line. Would definitely like to avoid Gonzaga. Kansas obviously has high end talent. Illinois has some dudes. Ideally would like to see something like St. Mary's vs WVU in that 7/10 with us but I'm thinking it'll be Mizzou v WVU.

If both Kentucky and Texas A&M are 3s then we'll get one of em in a potential sweet 16 matchup. It's conceivable A&M drops to a 4 as Wisconsin takes their spot on the 3 line. If so, it opens up the options for us to be paired with any 3 seed really. I do think a potential Pitino vs Kentucky/Pope matchup is too much for the committee to avoid. They love their storylines.

I think we have gotten a 2 seed. I think we will be paired with Florida which is the toughest team I have seen so far. They are big and deep and Clayton Jr. is a stud.

Kentucky loses tonight to Alabama by 29 points. They have lost eleven games this season, by a total of 133 points. SJU on the other hand has lost just four games this entire season, by a grand total of just 7 points.

Given those metrics, someone needs to explain to me ("like I am a five year old") how the hell ESPN Bracketologist Joe Lunardi has both SJU and Kentucky as three seeds.

Lunardi's a shill, a promoter, a front, a mouthpiece (for ESPN)....

A shill, also called a plant or a stooge, is a person who publicly helps or gives credibility to a person or organization without disclosing that they have a close relationship with said person or organization, or have been paid to do so. Shills can carry out their operations in the areas of media, journalism, marketing, politics, sports, confidence games, cryptocurrency, or other business areas. A shill may also act to discredit opponents or critics of the person or organization in which they have a vested interest

I admittedly haven't been following as closely, but is it just me or were there not nearly as many bid stealers as last year? I remember following down the stretch last year and nearly ever team on the bubble kept winning along with multiple bid stealers from smaller conferences. It was agonizing!

Anyone even slightly nervous committee does some fugazy crap and puts us as a 3?
No? I am a little.

By old school standards, this is how this should play out.
You can’t lose 3 out of last 4 and be a #1 seed!
By old school standards should be:
Florida, Duke, Tennessee and St John’s
Now I know Auburn and Alabama are scary and probably better than us but both have struggled down the stretch, yes against great comp but still.

Further I think Xavier should be in as play in and UNC should be out. In fact I actually think Xavier is better than UConn but that is a whole other story.

If we're considered the highest non SEC 2 seed, which we should be, then we should get in the Auburn bracket assuming the committee has Florida rated higer than Auburn.

No. We’ll be a 2 seed. Lock.

Shouldn’t Duke be the overall number 1 ? They’ve just won the ACC without the likely national player of the year, who was jumping around on the bench so I’m sure is fine.
First off good to see you posting.
Forgot about your Duke allegiance thing though lol.

Have to ask is that like a white guy college basketball thing to act more hurt than you actually are?

First game against Creighton, Asshead acting as if he just went through the William Wallace torture and I don’t think he sat out for even a minute.

2nd game Kalbrenner acted as if his leg got amputated and while he did miss time, came back in and didn’t miss a game.

Finally Flagg rolls around like he was Joe Theismann having his leg snapped in half. They had EMT’s a wheel chair and I think a priest.
