NCAA Tournament 2022

I actually still love Raftery. Walton I usually only watch late at night and find him kind of amusing especially if I've had a glass or two.

Providence looking good in the first half. I picked against them in two of my three pools but rooting for them; Cooley deserves to get an NCAA win after the good job he did with this team. Durham is a winner, great portal pickup for Cooley.

Durham is a guy who’s stats would have told me to be wary of. Not efficient from the field. But damn he is a closer and an absolute gamer. And a lefty to boot.

Of all their transfers Durham to me is most impactful. He can sometimes struggle, but one of those guys who just makes key plays when it counts.

It helps with Walton if you don't care much about the actual game he is calling.

Love this Providence team and happy Cooley has a solid group this year. But this is a good example of a team built to win this year- think they are all vets- and majority of the guys will be gone this year. Out of the guys who play....Think they only return Bynum ?

Gotta think that Cooley will never be a hotter commodity... will be shocked if he stays knowing next year will be a struggle. If he does- speaks volume about his love for the school- lifetime contract lol.

God please let me never have to hear Avery Johnson in the booth again

I disagree.  I think he has a very low-key manner imparting a lot of sound analysis with some humor.  Much better than Raff now, whom I used to love, IMHO.  And I can't stand Bilas.
I still love Raftery. I haven't heard Avery Johnson, but I don't think he or anyone else can be worse than Dickey ("Am I loud enough?" "Am I redundant enough?") Simpkins.

SDSU made a run and had it to 3 and then a foul on a 3 pointer.

The call was a bit iffy but man you cannot jump at the shooter like that in that situation.  You try to get a hand up and just accept whatever happens if he makes it he makes it.  You cannot risk a stupid foul that essentially ends the game.

I’ve gotta give it up for Providence. They are a veteran mentally tough team that doesn’t panic at crunch time. When it got down to 3, they continued to run their offense. Credit to Cooley. And Brittney Spears.

Keegan Murray of Iowa is what I picture Moe Harkless would’ve been like if he stayed in college ball for more than a year

To each his own as they say but I would take Raff and Bilas calling a game over Johnson every day of the week and twice on Sunday.

Some bad officiating going against Iowa down the stretch.

Iowa my sleeper pick who has played about as well as anyone especially on offense last month of season about to go out to Richmond.  And they deserve to lose because they have not played well all game but man the refs missed a BLATANT foul on a 3 that would have tied the game by Murray of Iowa.  Richmond player just clearly fouled him on the arm.

Marquette getting torched by UNC. Great win by  Richmond. Sets up nicely for Providence.

The Refs missed three obvious fouls in the last 1:30 of the game. Really horrible!! Even the announcers were calling out the officials

I had Iowa going to Elite 8 in one pool and sweet 16 in the other. It's always humiliating to be knocked out this early. Did have NC beating Marquette & Baylor but don't think it matters at this point.

Man Justin Lewis picked a bad day to have hist worst game.

UNC running Marquette out of the building.
