NCAA round 1 airfares

Me, the sleeveless guy and a few others are planning a roadtrip if all goes according to plan. Also looked at flights and if youre willing to fly Frontier Air out of Philly you can make it for under $150 RT.

Flying out 645 pm on sunday... the 10 pm flight was $50 more, but I figured id take that chance.

debating on going still. 3 hours ago I ruled it out. Now I'm back on the fence

I figure t worst i miss one day of work, can still do a teleconference from my hotel room on friday, and the airfares weren't killer. it may be a while till we get there again
 
Just checked out RT fares to Louisville from LGA and getting fares of $857 and up. Charlotte was a lot lower but still showing $425, depending on times of flights and whether non-stops or not.

Hotels also pretty pricey and they are all jacking up rates on Friday and Saturday nights.

Luckily I have tons of miles and hotel points and hopefully will be able to use those to get to any destination. But even that's a crap shoot, again depending on location and flight times.

ughhh. that's going to suck. Another place to check for staying is airbnb.com. We've used it several times when traveling overseas and it's awesome

Just booked on priceline.com name your own price and got the westin downtown for $100/night. It's a 12 minute walk to the arena. Weather forecasts between 62-65 F for the weekend.

Fri Am and back Sat Am. Just gonna catch 1st game.
 
Just booked a Residence Inn about 20 minutes from the arena for $80/night. We're driving down so didn't need to stay within walking distance, and with 4 recent grads, a King suite for $80/night was well within all of our budgets. The lady at the hotel said they are raising their prices starting tomorrow AM so I would guess hotels, cars, airfare etc is all going to begin to steadily rise starting tomorrow morning.

Can't wait!!!

I would consider going since I still have a lot of friends in Charlotte but I will be out in Cali for the weekend
 
I ended up using miles instead of the raised prices. Kudos to the ones who bought as soon as announced before they raised the prices
 
I took vacation Thursday and Friday and might take Monday off too, but being a CPA I don't have too much flexibility this time of year. Might just roll into work on Monday right off the road from Charlotte.
