(NCAA-Game 1, Dayton) - Arizona St., Wed. Mar. 20, 9:10 pm, TruTV / 970 AM

If SJU doesn't make me break my TV it will be this guy Phil. Whoever at AT&T came up with this campaign should lose their job
Brendan Haywood made a great point. This offense in no way reflects the way Chris Mullin use to play. Haywood said, Chris Mullin would never play in this in this offense. Mullin always came off screens and moved without the ball constantly to get a good shot. None of that happens in our offense
That's because it is Mitch Richmond's offense.

Heron line, 0-6, no rebounds or points, 3 Turnovers, 2 fouls.

For it possibly being some of these players last college game, they certainly aren't playing like that matters. They need to step it up in the second half. Press the hell outta a team that's turnover prone.. It could be the last 20 minutes of the season..fkn play like it

ASU is so well coached especially on defense. They cut off any and every lane to the hoop and force us to take very low percentage shots. The few open shots we've gotten we just brick it. Then we miss layups and FT's. If this is the best we get every 4-5 years then I'm taking a big step back.

I just don't understand what happened to Marvin Clark's 3 point shot. He's been horrible for weeks now. And Heron, did someone pay him to throw this game? I don't remember him ever playing this bad. If both of them were playing their normal game it would be close.

Team has an amazing knack for making OK teams look great. At this point, it's not a coincidence. Also, how often do you hear the announcers basically say that the team has poor fundamentals? "Unusual to see a small team get beat by backdoors and not help on defense" was the quote more or less. The politically correct way of saying "does anyone coach these guys"?

We don’t have any players fluid enough to come off a screen and shoot a jump shot. Clark No. Simon No. Figueroa No. Heron Maybe. Ponds Yes. Trimble No. no pure shooters like Chris. All plodding set shots.

Good point about their D cutting off lanes. At the same time time, we've had open looks and are missing shots we normally make.

Mussini probably last guy that i can see doing that

Nobody but ponds can break down the defense. I would give Williams a shot.

Mullin also had consistent low post scorers surrounding him (Berry, Wennington) as well as distributors that could get him the ball in scoring position. (Moses, Jackson).

Trimble hit a 3

Can we cut it to 8 by the under 16?

Frankly, Mussini would be perfect on this roster. He could dribble, he could shoot.

New half. I am losing the negativity and pulling for them like crazy. Hoping the squad can come through. Go SJ!
