NBC Sports with huge offer to Big East

Louisville is not leaving the Big East.

Rick Pitino has been the biggest advocate for the BE staying together.

Yes he has but Pitino is not the AD. Nor the President. They are the ones who decide their fate.

Very true. But wouldn't they already have put the muzzle on him for the public stance he has taken about the BE staying together.

The talk from UConn has sounded like they already have one foot out the door.

You would think they would muzzle him, but I guess they haven't.
Meanwhile the administration has been pretty clear; if the right situation comes along Louisville is leaving.

"Multiple sources with direct knowledge of their situations told ESPN.com that Louisville athletic director Tom Jurich told the Big East board of directors that the Cardinals want to be in the Big 12 or the ACC, opting for transparency by making members aware of his school's true intentions."

Again, I think the new commish and big tv deal are great news. But if UCONN and Lousiville have one foot out the door - then that tells me Big East football isn't out of the woods yet. There will be more turmoil when the Big 12 adds two teams, wherever they come from.

That is disheartening.

Let's hope this new commish can strike gold with the TV negotiations and at least have Louisville stay on board. UConn I don't mind losing.
