NBA Draft
Knicks made the right pick.

People who wanted haliburton I implore you to watch some of his tape and I ask you this, is he getting that jumper off in the pros? That low release is going to be easy to guard with the athletes that will be following him around. I just don’t see it
Dick Cheney disagrees
On a side note, I enjoyed watching the interviews with last night's top picks. Some really grounded young men who all seemed to value family and feel blessed for the opportunity. It struck me more than in past years.
Yes a lot of humble pie from those kids
Stephen A Smiths reaction (lost it), also felt should have gone with Haliburton from Iowa State

Calls Toppin showtime look who's talking.

Don't worry being exposed to their role models in the NBA will turn that around.

Couldn't agree more Jack and the kid from Kentucky is a drop dead shooter who will be huge in taking pressure off Barrett. Shot 43% from three and 92% from the line; Calipari loves him. First time in a while I felt Knicks knocked it out of the park in the draft.
Wow !. So Calipari loves one of his own players ? It's been awhile since that happened.

He raved about Kevin Knox.

All you need to know

I don’t watch NBA Basketball and haven’t for years . Too many uncalled Walks , Palming , Fouls not called , especially on the Stars . It should not be a surprise the BE doesn’t put many players in the League . Most of the top 25-50 kids are already penciled in by the NBA Scouts before they play a College game for their 1 and done . Our BE schools rarely get or want that kind of Player . Powell , Howard , Alexander like Ponds don’t fit the NBA profile of Size , Potential , etc . Our Teams , , look more to the kids who likely will play 4 years and are Coachable to a Team first attitude . It’s a formula that results in our League usually getting 5-6 or more teams in the Tourney . Some of the BE schools are better than others in selecting the type of player they want . Just my opinion .

Seton Hall’s Myles Powell will sign with the Knicks as an undrafted free agent.

Tough kid, hope he sticks. I'd love having him to root for as a Knick.

Awful for Klay after working so hard to come back from his knee injury.

Terrible news about Klay Thompson; one of my favorite players. So sad to see him miss 2 years in a row in the prime of his career.

Just a disaster. I viewed last season as a one-year pause, but Warriors aren't legit contenders again if he doesn't return to form. I imagine that will be a steep uphill climb.

Dare I say the Knicks are being smart?

https://nypost.com/2020/11/19/knicks-trade-for-jazz-forward-ed-davis-more-2023-nba-draft-picks/

The Knicks now have compiled three 2023 second-rounders since Wednesday after trading the 33rd pick to the Clippers on draft night for a 2023 second-rounder via Detroit.

Why the obsession? High school players will be permitted in that draft. Hence, the Knicks can draft a player and stash him in the G-League and make it a real minor league. They also have two first-rounders in 2023 —one from the Mavericks in the Kristaps Porzingis trade.

Eh the top Jersey kids leave in droves too. Talk to Seton Hall fans. They routinely chase the top NJ kids out of HS and rarely land one. Powell is probably the highest ranked one they've secured a commit from in recent years -- and he was in the 90ish/back end of top 100 range, I believe. And that goes back to the class of 2016. Before him, I can't recall the last top 50 in-state kid they secured out of HS from New Jersey (Whitehead/Delgado were NY kids that followed their assistants/AAU coaches, as we all know).

Originally undrafted

Fred VanVleet has agreed to a four-year, $85M deal to re-sign with the Toronto Raptors, agent Brian Jungreis of @ParLay_SE told @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.
