All 4 @NovaMBB guys have received NBA Combine invites, per source: Mikal Bridges, Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo and Omari Spellman.

Needless to say, Nova has a lot on the line here. If Donte and/or Omari come back to campus, look out.

Thinking first two are gone and Omari maybe. Donte returns.

No invites for Seton Hall seniors it seems per Zach B

Delgado injured

Ouch, I feel bad for Delgado. Dude was a projected high 2nd round pick last year ( I believe they had him at 39) and now he doesn’t get a invite.

Should have left last year. He wasn't going to improve his stock playing at his position in the Big East and you know that snake Willard was never going to let him play a different way even if he might have promised him otherwise. He shouldn't have listened to Willard and gone out. Unlike plenty of other guys who can improve their stock into the first round, Angel wasn't going to.

I view it other way. If he was never going to get any higher in draft, why not stay and get degree then? If he was going to make a team last season, he'll make one this year too. Plus if he wants a career in college basketball later on, he doesn't have to sit in a classroom 12 years from now to earn a degree.

Respectfully disagree with all of this. If he wasn’t going to improve his draft stock why take the chance of lowering it? If you can either go down or stay the same why take the bigger chance of falling?

The difference between making the team as a draft pick vs making the team as a tryout ( which is the position he’s in now) is worlds apart. When drafted as a draft pick NBA gm’s aren’t going to give up on you easily ( even in the second round), plus the guaranteed money involved during the first two years ( Jordan bell pick 38 makes 815,000 this year and 1.3 million next year) will easily beat the nba minimum of 541,000.

Add in his leg injury he suffered during the season, it was a bad move all around.

Chicago, agree it may well turn out that way. However, I could also see Donte leaving. Not sure there is a better time to leave than as MVP of the NCAA tournament chapionship game. Will be interesting to see what happens.

Hear you NCJohnnie. Kid’s got a great stroke and is a gritty player. I guess the question is, did he show enough as a sophomore and in the NCAAs?
But some team may take a shot. Be interesting to see what happens.

Overrated. Never a better time for him to leave.

Agree. 3rd season there and never a starter.
The iron is hot.

Agree on that, but question is will teams be convinced to risk a 1st round or even 2nd round pick? Dunno. We shall see.

I predict Donte will return to Nova with the understanding he stands a good chance to be a top 20 pick in 2019. My personal opinion is that he has an extended NBA career. He's 6'5", super athletic with a sweet stoke and plays defense.

I agree with everything except the defense which needs as much work as Ponds' defense and the top 20 pick projection.
I think he will return because he may value a college degree.
I think Shamorie Ponds moves into the second round and will leave regardless because Marcus LoVett was a very bad influence on him. Of course, I hope to be wrong and hope he actually takes his finals.

Donte has a ready made pro body, plus quickness and athleticism. If he exerts himself he'll be a very good defender. Ponds OTOH, is going to have limitations on D because of his lack of size and strength.

I hadn't even noticed lol

According to NBA Draft Daily Ponds was not invited. Seems crazy to me that the leading scorer from the BE wasn’t one of the 60 selected.

I Hope that doesn’t break his confidence. He really was putting his soul into this.

Sidenote: I know a lot people are going to say that he should be motivated to prove them wrong, but rejection is really hard to break some time.
