I have this sick feeling that this is a pivotal game for selection Sunday if we should be a bubble team. I'd hate to look back on this game as a winnable OOC game that got away. To be sure, Iona would love to win and lay claim to being the area's best team.
 
Really an important game to keep winning these types of games

The two losses were winnable but not against a team that we should have beaten

This is absolutely a must win game if we have any hopes of making the tournament. Iona is currently sitting at 4-4, with notable losses to Ohio University, Coastal Carolina and Northern Kentucky.
 
Thought our strength this yr was shooting the three It has not turn out that way For us the get to the NCAA we have to shoot 39-40%

Forget the tournament. We have to beat Iona or we will never here the end of it from Marco Baldi from the Jungle :)
 
Losing to Iona is not an option. They are not a good team this year. We have our shortcomings but also some very significant strengths and we are a good team. NCAA/NIT, hard to tell at this point but we have the talent and the defensive intensity to win pretty consistently over mid majors with a .500 records. Just need to stay focus, not take any team for granted and keep working on offensive ball movement, rhythm and consistency.
 
Two questions for those “in the know.” Is Marcus practicing and is the big recruit who previously committed to USC still visiting this weekend?
 
Concerning any tournament and on a positive note I notice Arizona State moved up in the rankings (top ten now I believe) good for us!

Forget top 10, AZ St is top 5, they beat #2 KU on Sunday (not that it makes me feel any better.).
Down 1 with the ball and a chance to win, we'd atleast have votes, and we'd see St. John's in the voting section.
Can't throw that opportunity away, when you have it with just 2 freaking minutes.

Can't make it Sunday
Going to a friend's 70th birthday party
Would like to have a Boca Bash at another date
Hope we can get more guys involved this season
 
Need to win the next two games that will get us to 10.

Then we need to win 10 in Big east and 1 tourney game to get to 21 and I think they will make it in.

We don't need 10 BE games and a BET game, just 9. Right now our RPI is 18 (few cupcakes on the schedule) and with a projected SOS of 4. If we win the next 2, lose to Duke, and go 8-10 in conference our RPI would be about 46. Which could be enough to get us in but I wouldn't be very confident. But at 9-9 I'd be very confident even if we lost the first game of the BET.

First thing first is Iona though. Win that and St. Joe's, and we're in a great position.
