mike cragg

What has he done oh I don't know give Anderson a contract extension 2 years into a deal that had 3 years or more left? Yeahhhhh that guu. That in itself is just cause my opinion. . It's going to be someone who Rick approves of as does father and repole. It was father who got us Rick not Mike. That's all I need to know is contract extension on Anderson when nobody else wanted him and Jo rumblings of other teams coming after him either

That clearly turned out to be a bonehead move

That is a bit harsh. I can't remember anyone better than him here in the last quarter century. Can you?

So you're saying that Mike Cragg is the least worst AD at SJU in the past 25 years. That's like praising the least obese slob at the fat farm.

How many ADs were there since 1999 anyway? I remember the tan guy. Were there a passel more? No. So even if your estimate of Cragg is correct, that makes him the least offensive stool on a short pile of excrement.

Cragg's job at dewk comprised saying "yes coach screwshrinsi, no coach screwshrinski" and trimming the rinds of Coach K's hunks of cheese.

Yup, you hit the nail on the head. That's exactly what I was saying. So grateful you were here to expound on my point. I feel truly blessed

Goff was just a yes man doing what the board wanted him too, monasch I had hopes for but didn't pan out. Kaiser before my time but heard and read great things about him. So out of this bunch Kaiser manetta Cragg third? But for a university only to have 6 in 25-30 years says a lot but last three I believe has the shortest tenures

Only? That’s one every 4-5 years which is a high turnover rate.

if Craig was getting jettisoned it would have happened already. We are about to have the best season weve had in 25 years. Hes not getting fired after that.

Cragg seems like a nice guy but handing CMA a contract extension long before he was due for one shows poor judgment and provides sufficient grounds to consider terminating him IMO.

Have no idea if he stays or goes, but aside from one year left on contract or any Pitino preference, one big factor in a decision either way could be the construction of the new athletic center. A project that big might not want someone out/someone in as things actually get moving or midway. For that reason an early exit or extension could both be plausible options

That's hindsight masquerading as 'truth' and impersonating 'revelation'.
Craig would look like the 'genius' to have extended CMA on the 'cheap' IF it had played out differently and his '40 minutes if hell' had not been exposed as '40 minutes of what-the-hell is happening?!?'
He gets an F for that, but maybe a C overall.
So, I'm for whatever proves to be the best decision...OMG, there goes hindsight, running amuck again.
Lol.

What is Cragg going to mix the cement or something? ;) :) (y)😇🤣

My biggest disappointment during Mike’s tenure was the willingness to lay down and succumb towards shifting away from MSG. There was a peak of Garden games during his first, Mullin’s last season (2019) and then things gradually worsened throughout the IMA era. The decision to play at UBS last season was a disaster. I happen to like him, he is a true professional and great representative of the program:

restoring the audio in Queens
New LED screens in Queens
redoing the banners in Queens and MSG
The Nike deal
The Lou statue
bringing in alchohol sales to Queens along with gradual upgrades around Carnesecca lobbies (sans bathrooms)
Johnnies Day
Honoring former players nightly in MSG (major hat tip here)
Throwback jerseys, throwback decals in MSG
Peter Millar, Homefield merch

He’s certainly puts in the effort, truly cares and is always up for a conversation, unlike Monasch.

I’m sure there are plenty of other accomplishments that I’m missing and that’s just strictly basketball focused. Most importantly sealing the deal on the athletic facilities building will be his legacy. That complex is going to be a monumental pivoting point that will benefit all. I wish the man and his family nothing but the best regardless if he’s here or not.

Throwback jerseys and decals? Yeahhh I think that was Rick or it would of been done already before

Well, since Mike Repole now "owns" the team--or a massive chunk of it, if his NIL contribution is what he proclaims it to be--I would assume he gets a major say as to who the AD is moving forward. Isn't he friends with Kull?

Your rhetorical question speaks volumes. Well presented and spot on. As the great Italian soccer player Giorgio Chinaglia said: ‘it’s always about the money, stupid’.
