Fox Sports Florida, it on YES too. Lots of retired New Yorkers are there, so they might have it.

Think this may have been posted, but if not:

Nice for ONCE to beat the odds. I think we need 2 more wins for the NIT. 3 to feel really good for the NIT. 4 wins and we're on the NCAA bubble. 5 wins and I'd feel very confident in our NCAA chances.

For those who haven't seen this:

5 more wins and we'd definitely finish top 50 (keep in mind they don't count the D2 win).

Also interesting that they have us at 65 RPI, while ESPN has us at 62. Think it has to do with how neutral games are weighted. Believe ESPN gives us more credit for MSG neutral games.

I'd be pretty happy with a couple more wins and an NIT bid. Ecstatic with 4-5 more wins but that'd be extremely hard to achieve.

Every game going forward will be tough, but winnable.

I’m a glass half-full guy, but I think it possible we can run-the-table for a 4-0 run to end the regular BE Season.
I concede that’s a tough gamut for the Johnnies to weather—but the past 5 games (4-1) were no accident.
The team has cohered around Shamorie’s all-world play as well as key and critical improving performances—for the most part—by Clark, Simon, Ahmed, and Owens since the Butler debacle.
I’m hoping for at least a 3-1 record these next 4 games and believe that we’ll be a tough ‘out’ in the BET through the first 2-3 games.
Then, hopefully, a run in the NIIT.
Of course, after a couple of glasses of great vino, my thoughts run to a ‘mild’ run in the NCAAs!
Let’s go Johnnies.

The CBS guys were discussing the bubble teams when Rothstein mentioned us being a possible quad #1.
He also pointed our victory over a very successful Nebraska team. He has been very supportive.

Heard that discussion also but I believe what Rothstein was referring to was the fact that we have a number of Quad 1 wins which is one of the criteria the committee uses to break down a teams record to determine their worthiness for an NCAA T bid.

Totally agree with the assessment as well that 4 wins the rest of the way and I think we have a chance to squeak in. Can't afford a first round loss in Big East Tournament though.

Scheduling all of those neutral court games really has helped us out.

We can run the table over these next 4 games, setting up solid prospects for the BET, the NIT, or potentially the NCAAs.
We have the talent.
We'll have to continue to play tough and in sync, have good shot selection and ball movement, limit turnovers and continue to be quick and intense on defense.
Let's go Johnnies.

If we run that table, which is not likely, I would nominate Mullin for comeback coach of the year. Then again, we have the most rested bench in the Big East so any thing is possible. :)

Marquette is our one chance for a season sweep, which I think we can do. Toughest game will be Butler, even though at home. Every one of last four games is a winnable game, but all are tough games. I will be very happy if we win 3 of the last 4 and make the NIT.
If we'd only won that Gtown double overtime game... Go Johnnies!

I agree, but winning the past 4 games wasn’t ‘likely’ either. But not arguing, it’ll be a tough haul to accomplish. All are tough games. Please don’t get me gloomy! Butler looks to be the toughest, but Marquette is out for revenge, the Hall has always been tough for us, and Providence ‘away’ very unpredictable. Hoping we can go 3-1 at least.

Markus Howard just went down real hard...crunched his back or hop....needed assistance to get off court. Out for 2nd half...

Will see if he's done for Wed or longer

They said on the broadcast that Howard injured his hip and will not return tonight. He looked to be in quite a bit of pain. That would be a very tough injury for Marquette to overcome if he cannot play or has to play at less than 100 percent down the road.

Why does Rowsey never get called for an offensive foul when he clearly jumps into the defender?

No nights off in this conference. Despite Howard being out with an injury and being down by as much as sixteen points Marquette comes roaring back at Creighton and wins 90-86. Seems that every team in the conference can be dangerous in the right situation.

Looks like they went bigger without Howard in the second half, and dominated the boards. Lots of second and third chances converted.
