I tried to warn everybody to temper expectations on Storr before the season. Players in his ranking range just aren’t major contributors in their freshman season. The same thing would happen to Gardner next year if he actually does step foot on campus.

Storr potentially leaving is a non-issue to me right now. Not because I don’t think he’ll be a good player, I actually do think he’ll develop into a very good 4 year player at the high conference level. But because you can’t expect players in this day and age to stay at all but especially when there’s a coaching change like there likely will be after this season. And if there isn’t a coaching change after the season then next year is a lost cause anyway whether Storr is here or not.
I would like to temper your expectations regarding a coaching change.

Barring an amazing turnaround, If there is not a coaching change then this program is relegating itself to being a bottom feeder in the Big East for the foreseeable future. It also proves that the administration really has no interest in upgrading the quality of this program.

I have 2 court side seats to the Villanova game at MSG and at this point feel like it was a waste of money to bother buying them. Not sure how much longer I can bring myself to watch this train wreck. I wonder how many die hard SJu fans there are? Under 1,000?

No matter what happens this season I don’t see a coaching change.

I don’t disagree but I don’t see SJU buying out another coach when they are struggling financially.

Sorry, but I don't see members of this board afraid in any way of stating their views. You may have people oppose your views, it doesn't mean that you're being attacked. This group is not shy in the least. And I like it that way. 💁‍♂️
Sorry Tony but that’s not the case at all and it would not be hard to find multiple posts to show the contrary. To deny that this bias exists is borderline delusional.

I think you just proved my point. You had no fear of calling my post “borderline delusional.” And that’s fine. I don’t feel attacked by you at all. ;-)

SJU negotiated against itself when they hired CMA, and then again when they renegotiated with him. As a result, they are now saddled with an absolutely horrible contract with a lame duck coach who also just happens to be the highest paid(by far, I'm sure) employee of the University. F'in unreal!!!

Again, if Anderson is retained due to a hefty buy out number, that’s all on Mike Cragg and he should be the first to be let go. Does anybody really believe that if Anderson does not make the Dance this year, he has any chance doing so next year while losing Soriano, Mathis and who knows who else? If the administration is fully aware of this and retains him anyway, alumni or not, there will be no reason for myself and many others to follow this program any more.

Its on Cragg and Shanley, and maybe others. It was a collective F' up!

It's hard not to notice Storr looks unhappy and perhaps has one foot out the door. That said, I can't pin this all on Anderson. Yes, it's nearly impossible to logically explain his substitution patterns and Storr should definitely be playing more. However, his defense is undeniably poor and he has not demonstrated any signs of growth.

Surprisingly, right now, our defense is even more detrimental than our lack of shooting.
Storr shoots a knuckleball. it goes in, but it has 0 rotation. Very strange.

We don’t know what the buyout is if any. At this point it’s just speculation. Let’s hope it’s minimal
That is correct, we don't know what the buyout or his salary is, but posters love to speculate.
All I can say is I am happy I am not faced with making the key decisions relating to our men's bball team as contrary to what many believe there is no clear cut simple choice.
