Marquette, Sun. Jan. 24, 3:45pm, 970AM-TV Delayed

I wonder if season ticket holders can get a refund. Probably not, right?

I would assume that season tickets counts the same as a "purchased" ticket. You did pay for it, so why would it be considered otherwise (though they probably should give you the option of applying it to next year)?

QUEENS, N.Y. - Tonight's St. John's men's basketball game versus Marquette at Madison Square Garden has been postponed due to the blizzard barreling through the metropolitan area. The contest will be rescheduled for Sunday, Jan. 24 at Carnesecca Arena. Game time is set for 3:45 p.m. in Queens. CBS Sports Network will air the national broadcast on tape delay at 6 p.m. St. John's radio broadcast can be heard on 970 AM WNYM.

All tickets purchased for Saturday's game will be honored at the gate for general admission entry to Carnesecca Arena on Sunday. If fans cannot attend the rescheduled contest versus Marquette, purchased tickets can be redeemed for tickets to any of the remaining home games at the same price level or lower based on availability.

To exchange tickets for a game later this season, contact the Carnesecca Arena Ticket Office beginning Tues., Jan. 26 by calling 1-888-Go-Storm or 718-990-6211. Box Office hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Friday.

St. John's will also offer refunds for purchased tickets to Saturday's game at Madison Square Garden from Wed., Jan. 27 to Fri., Jan. 30 by calling the Ticket Office during business hours.

Several planned events for the originally scheduled game have been adjusted. St. John's halftime ceremony to honor the University's 182 student-athletes that received BIG EAST All-Academic Team recognition has been rescheduled for Sat., Feb. 6, versus Butler. The Red Storm men's tennis and softball teams will be recognized for their 2014-15 BIG EAST Championships at a game to be determined.

St. John's alumni event prior to the Marquette game has also been cancelled. Contact the Ticket Office beginning Wed., Jan. 27 to request a refund.

To appropriately recognize all involved with the blizzard response, `First Responders Night' will be rescheduled later this season for one of the remaining games at Madison Square Garden.

All complementary tickets distributed prior to Saturday's contest will not be accepted for admission on Sunday.

Why not? Is a season ticket holder not a ticket holder? If you cut a season ticket holder do they not bleed? Season ticket holders are not a animal!

Just wasn't sure what the term "purchased ticket" meant. Could easily see them try to weasel out of it by excluding season ticket holders. If every season ticket holder got a refund that'd be a lot of cash for the school to dish out at one time. I guess not having to pay MSG for tonight would help offset that. At any rate, I will gladly take a refund if available.

Can anyone - students maybe - comment on the shape of the campus parking lots tomorrow. Roads will likely still be a mess and travel advisories in effect.

School should open the doors to any on campus students wishing to attend in anticipation of a very small crowd. Actually if they did something like that in a creative way, it could be by percentage the largest student crowd ever at CA.

Kind of frustrating that this game was rescheduled one day after a major snowstorm. I'm sure the streets around campus will be a total disaster and as Beast wondered, the campus parking lots may not even be cleared yet. I wish they would have waited a while. But I get that Marquette is here, so get the game in while you can. But it's not the best time for fans.

How long has Marquette been in town? The forecast called for a big storm pretty early in the week, right? The game should have been postponed before the visitors even left Milwaukee.

As much as I hate Georgetown, they got this one right
Why aren't our creative thinking cracker jack people thinking along these lines?

They flew in Friday, stayed at a hotel near Newark airport.

Game today is free for everyone. Hope that since there is not much else to do, a majority of students living on campus will attend.
I am starting to shovel snow now in the hope that I can make it.

Even 2 feet of snow couldn't make that look nice.

Definitely not ideal for fans, but I get that both schools just want to get the game in. I'm sure they don't want to deal with the hassle of trying to reschedule it midseason.
