I'm really happy about this adjustment. It's very modern day basketball. Teams have figured out the math that you're better off shooting 30% from 3pt than 40% from 2.

And the other bonus of taking more 3s is there are longer rebounds, meaning a higher rate of offensive rebounds.

Now, this is also why i find non-Knicks NBA games boring to watch. But that's another thread for another day.
