Apparently Marco Bourgault was a one time commit to Montana State University and it detailed in the below LINKED article.

Just an update on our last french connection.

Remi Barry, as a freshman , averaged 2.3 pts per game with New Mexico State this year.

No reflection on Marco but it made me think of Remi.

Further update Remi played 4 minutes with no stats in NM St's loss to Indiana yesterday. Didn't get much run this year at all.

But French Canadian Laurent Rivard of Harvard hit 6 three pointers and scored 20 against Vanderbilt yesterday while fellow Montrealer Kris Joseph scored 12 with 8 assists for the Cuse.
A good day for Montreal bball players in the NCAA Tournament.

The write ups on this kid claim he can play point guard as well as both wing positions. While I doubt he'd play much if any PG at STJ, his ability to handle the rock and pass from the SF spot could really keep this team moving incredibly fast up and down the court. Faster, I'd wager, than even another supreme athlete with just an average handle. That kind of tempo will give him many open looks from three in transition.

Funny that a team could add two recruits that have more college experience than all but one player on its roster.

After reading JJ, I get the impression that things are leaning towards Marco and away from Morris.

I think you're a couple days late to this particular party. LOL

I wasnt aware of that either. I thought we were strong with morris. Any idea what happened MJ?

It seems they aren't gonna bring in both Bourgault, Morris and Hall. It looks more like Bourgault and Hall for now. I believe they are very close with some kids in the '13 class and wanna put those 'ships toward them. Remember, Lawrence AND McCullough are going to be '13 kids.

You're talking about two of better kids in the metro area and nationally, in those two. Considering, we're in very, good shape with them, then we can use the 'ships on those two and/or possibly, others.

Things can be fluid when it comes to recruiting. We could turn around and end up with Morris. But, that isn't the case as of now.

Gotchya thanks MJ. Lawrence and McCullough are definitely the future gems of NYC. I would have liked Morris though, think he was the best prospect out of Hall and Marco but I trust Lavin

No problem, mase. I also would like Morris, as I believe he seems like the better prospect. I guess the staff has a plan in place. We'll see how it evolves.

Here is a something I found interesting, per Bourgault....

Bourgault said he and Sanchez could potentially be a strong tandem for some team, but that the two don’t necessarily have to play together in college. Both will have two years of Division 1 eligibility, although Bourgault could appeal to get a third.

Feiw, it seems to me that Lavin loves landing kids that are friends and play together. It is instant chemistry. Look at how Lavin united our first class. This year he tries to bring in friends like Branch/Harrison, Balamou/Obekpa, Sanchez/Obekpa. It's not solely to land the other guy. As soon as these kids land on campus there is instant chemistry. I actually really like this approach. Kids become more vested in the program and are more comfortable right away.

Just committed, would of rather had Hooper but hopefully this gets Sanchez on board. Welcome to the team Marco!
