Louisville

Sadly, this team is just not good enough offensively to come back from large deficits.

Its nine. What were we down in the beginning? 7? You guys are unreal can not read this site anymore.

It's weird how we can block a ton of shots and yet louisville has more offensive rebounds on that one play toward the end of the half than we have the entire half.

Just what I want at the end of the half to have Pointer dribble full court. How about Hines calling a timeout for the last shot. Oh, I forgot he doesn't have the slighest idea of making adjustments. You see I would have concentrated on getting the ball to a very hotshooter, Harrison. But that's just me.
As I posted yesterday Obekpa needed to start as evidenced by the easy putbacks by Louisville. Was that one of the ugliest zone defenses at the start of the first half. Sampson is struggling getting shots off, and even holding on to the ball.
I still cannot understand what Greene has against Bourgault, he actually looks at him and passes off to another teammate. Does this illustrious staff not see this?

Any coach that doesn't play zone against us for 40 min. should be fired. Why can't Lavin have this team figure out how to attack the zone. Look what happened here, LU goes m to m for 5 minutes and we go on a run, they go back to zone, and we score 4 points over 8 minutes.

The deficit it 9, relax.

9 against L'Ville at home is like 20. L'Ville just got started. They are shooting 18% from 3 and 38% from the field...they will catch fire in the 2nd half. Big swing in the game.

Unbelievable.

I tell you Jakarr makes one mistake and it just snowballs into a mountain. Like he goes through serious mental lapses.

And Obekpa has been soft in the paint on defense. It's like he's worried about getting a foul called against him. Just go up and do what you do best.

Thought chris rebounded well. And yes, we do need gifts muscle I agree.

The problem is we have 3 guys that jump to block a shot (despite having arguably the best single shotblocker in the nation) and no one is left to grab the boards.

Fundamentally stupid. Sorry.

Lol...let's just let L'Ville run down the entire court in 5 seconds before half and make a layup. Typical. So typical. We let them go on like a 15-4 run right before half. Against L'Ville down 9 or 10 at half you are done. This team is playing like pansies now. DRIVE IN THE PAINT. STOP LETTING THEM TAKE IT. All we do is stand around and pass and dribble. BULL your way in the paint. Make them foul us. This game's tide has already turned and it's danger time now. If we come out soft in the first few minutes, the game is over. I'm so mad we don't have Lavin for the 2 most important games. Why can't other teams have this kind of terrible luck? Southerland comes back right on time for us, now Lavin out for 2 HUGE games.

For some reason we just cannot keep these kinds of teams close at half. Can't against Cuse, can't against G'Town, can't against L'Ville. We should at least be keeping it close with ONE of these teams at least to half. We are now down nearly 10 and they haven't even played their best yet.

Newsflash - most teams this year would have a tough time keeping it close against Syracuse, Louisville & Georgetown, especially on the road. They are all ranked in the Top 15 currently. Easier said than done. Our guys are trying out there, yes there have been boneheaded plays, but they are still in this game.

Rico was smart enough to switch from zone to man.

We can't attack the zone because we have no low post scorer nor penetrating Pg. Simple as that.

3 guys actually playing defense, what were they thinking?

The team has gone from the bottom of the conference to the middle.
I don't know if another year and some juniors with three years experience in the bIg east will mean fewer dumb turnovers. That and a rebounder might be enough with some offensive play
discipline might be enough for the next move to the top.
This game against a supposedly superior team reveals that our failure is not that other teams usually outplay us (Syracuse and Georgetown excepted) as much as we make the same errors on fundamentals. Louisville could win by twenty but most of that difference is layups off turnovers and lack of rebounds. I hope that means muscle and time and discipline make it possible to move up easily enough next year.

Why do we look like we have NO CLUE against the zone? We just keep passing the ball back and forth around the top of the key with no purpose.

It's the story of our life, obviously never learned from our disastrous zone offense against the Cuse. Gee, just look at Uconn's offense yesterday against the Cuse's zone - move the damn ball, penetrate the damn zone, hit the damn shooter in the corner. Aren't you suppose to learn from your previous mistakes. This is not an elite group of coaches.

Really getting sick of harrison chucking up that half court shot likes he's in the playground. It just shows his lacks attitude.
