Do not agree with the game plan Going in Kuric.was the problem why wouldnt we go with a 2 2 zone and box him He would not be getting all those open .shots

Leaving the poor shooting aside for a moment, I'm not a fan of the Lavin/Dunlap zone defense as it consistently gives up the easy 3 and has for the last 2 seasons. Lavin's zone leaves the 3 wide open far too much and it's not the fact of having only 7 players.

it's a soft zone and even after a 1/2 season our guys just aren't picking it up, whatever it's suppose to accomplish. Last year's squad didn't get it either, so maybe it needs rethinking/

GG is a terrific competitor playing against bigger, more talented players but,has to know he can't throw up junk inside against shot blockers,, although, even his dunk got blocked.

L'VILLE is a top tier BE team that we're just not ready to compete with this year. DePAUL,USF, PC, Rutgers might be the only games we can compete.

Lastly, LAVIN HAS TO GET A SHOOTER NEXT YEAR and a true PG. ALONG WITH A BIG MAN.
It's a tall order considerring most top 100 kids are already committed.

Kuric is the least of our problems tonight. He's hit some shots, but the problem is we're not making any of ours.

And in the other game the Hall is just housing UConn

I saw that coming when I turned it on there late in the 1st half. I, figured UConn would make a run to tighten up the game, but thought Seton Hall would finish them off.

On that note, Louisville has caught fire from deep.

Somebody tell me how can you shoot 2for 30 and be called talented

your right. This is a talentless group of over rated recruits.

well i'll go with over rated

Look dont get me wrong these guys are trying real hard. It is just hard to ..understand how a team as a whole can shoot so poorly Usually one guy has a hot.hand These. kids have .potential How could they have been rated so high over their. HS careers Hope coach is working as i am sure he is on recruiting to our weakness

No offense, but I wonder if you understand the game.

I think the most frustrating part about this situation is unless the coaching staff is able to convince Sampson and Gathers to come to St. John's next year, I'm not sure how much better this team is going to get. As most people on this board have mentioned, there aren't a ton of unsigned players out there and it is probably too late to get heavily involved with them. And I don't think I'm that far off considering it seems Lavin is out there recruiting players for the 2013 and 2014 classes.

So again, I'm hoping we're able to get Sampson and Gathers back in the fold otherwise we're gonna go into next year with basically the exact same squad. And no offense to these players, but they are not going to be able to compete with the top echelon teams under those circumstances.

Everytime Raf says something like "They haven't given up" or "Look how hard they're playing"... I get a visceral reaction akin to dry heaving.
