LJ Eligible
LJ looks way better tonight then he did last year
Guess he's going back to the baller from 2 years ago.
Good for Oregon I guess.
LJ is a very good complimentary player but not as good at being " the man"
He's an excellent Robin but not a Batman
He's a great fit for what is needed of him at Oregon
I'm sorry he left, don't like the way he left but I wish him well as a Beaver

I'm a big fan of the Beaver however LJ is now a Duck.

Best of luck to LJ.

Bottom line.....he came back and played one year under CMA and decided he didn't want to be here. Everything is moot.

He just likely was listening to people that were in his ear. There was no malice, just a kid trying to do the best for himself. He's still well liked around the program, which is the way it should be. Once a kid leaves, he's not the enemy.
LJ is not on my radar of interest, but when you think of Oregon in recruiting process always factor in “incentives”. LJ camp went shopping. His & his camp’s approach leaving Mike & staff in lurch irked many of us for good reason. I’m glad when I look at the type of players we have he chose to go. Rear view mirror time is well past over.
The way him and his camp went about things was not done in the right way. Just from the reporting on his situation, it was obvious staff was under the impression LJ would be testing the draft waters to get feedback then was going to return to St. John's, but it looks like his camp had other plans, they got feedback then went around as shopped LJ to other programs as you mentioned, and didn't inform SJ of this until it was too late to replace him.

And with that said, you could see even going back to last year, LJ was never all in with CMA, he gave off the vibe that he felt he had become bigger than the program, not sure if he felt he was bigger than CMA or bigger than SJ or both. And I don't understand his camps logic, from watching Oregon game last night, he's coming off the bench he's going to be the 4th or 5th scoring option on that team, if his goal is to get drafted, I don't see how going from the 1st option to the 5th option helps that.

I wish LJ had stayed. I believe we'd be a better team if he did(and he was all in). I have no malice towards him, but I don't like how he handled things(if reports are true) and am not going to make excuses for him. He's a big boy, he knew what he was doing. As we both know Beast, one can both do what's best for themselves, and at the same time handle things the right way. The 2 are not mutually exclusive.

Like I told the 114 guys yesterday.LJ is now broccoli to me. Don’t wanna watch him don’t wanna see him don’t ever want to think about him again. One whiff of Chinese chicken and broccoli gets my stomach sick that’s what seeing him on Oregon. Don’t wish him bad or anything but he’s broccoli pure and simple

Beer battered broccoli?
still can’t. And keep in mind I’m fair and reasonable with veggies. Did a complete turnaround with roasted Brussels sprouts. But broccoli nothing will change my opinion so LJ is broccoli

Agree. But once the NCAA allows one move where kids don't have to sit a year, it will be like the wild west with student athletes transferring. This will seem like nothing.
so where is the broccoli thread?
We can talk about LJ in it so things even out.

I think Roberts, Lavin and Mullen couldn't improve Broccoli but Coach Anderson can.
Broccoli is also a 5 star vegetable.

Keep Chopping

It was apparent that LJ and to a extent , Heron , never really fit into CMA’s style . Which isn’t fault on anyone’s part . They were both , Recruited by Mullin and many players want to transfer when there is a Coaching change . They both stayed because I believe Coach Mike wanted them to . Heron , unfortunately was injured for much of his 2 years here and never approached the level of play he showed at Auburn . LJ was likely 50/50 on staying last year and did give it time . But , it was obvious his game didn’t mesh with Anderson . Which is ok . Why stay another year and be unhappy with your role on the team ? What’s in store for him at Oregon remains to be seen . Hey , he played hard here for 2 years . That gets him some applause .
