Who the hell is this Williams guy , hitting all his free throws ,grabbing boards and scoring. :)
Every game it seems someone we had written off , as we typically do , is stepping up. Last game Amar and this game Williams. Very very nice to see. Could it be the coaching ?

Let's abandon all redmen.com policy and be reasonable for a minute. Given the roster and performances thus far, the staff would be obscenely incompetent if they didn't communicate to players that those who work hard in practice will be given a chance to show they belong on the court. Any kid on this roster who thinks they are a D1 player has a pretty wide open shot at a ton of minutes. After Ponds, Lovett, Mussini (proving he belongs), Ahmed (perhaps), and Owens (perhaps, proving himself daily) anyone can step in and grab a significant role in the rotation. Really a golden opportunity for anyone to step up and grab time.
 
Stating the obvious but when you let LIU score 42 points on you the defense needs to freaking improve

Coaching? Why haven't the coaches given this guy more PT?
 
I wish I had the time to track Mussini's shooting percentage when he shoots off a direct pass vs. when he puts the ball on the floor before he takes a shot

It seems like he shoots about 70% off the pass vs.about 20% off the bounce
He should be told never to shoot when he has to dribble first
Strictly a catch and shoot guy

He would have been eligible immediately had he opted to transfer at the end of 2015-16. Had him and Jimmy Hall on my wish list of local guys.

Yup. This half has encapsulated our season so far: not great inside, not great on D, sometimes shoot well from outside... It's like we are playing with the handbrake on.

Hopefully they will continue to foul their way into trouble.
 
Amar now undergoing concussion protocol. His head struck a water fountain at half time.
 
When Lovett returns we will able to space the floor better. Williams sure looks good for someone who couldn't get garbage time against Fordham . Wonderwhy he didn't play this year except a few minutes. Our Bigs need to foul less. I think Freud is getting too many minutes based on what he showed so far, but rebounding well today.
