John Calipari. Tom Izzo... Certainly nobody who was a reasonable get.

Plus, this is hopefully the worst team Rick has during his time at St. John's.

The job Pitino has done here is impressive in a very short time he has upgraded this entire roster every player he brought in is an improvement over the ones that left. I can only imagine the talent he will bring in when he has even more time to build relationships.

Cal maybe, Izzo no way. Maybe Jay Wright, but none of those guys were coming anyway. Pitino was by far the best get, and due to the circumstances a reasonably priced get.

Honestly there is a coach out there that has never had a losing record out there lol. Who is missing aj stor wusu posh jones now? Certainly not I, although posh was probably my favorite during the Anderson era . But to answer your question coach k or jay possibly

Rick obviously looked at the team and determined who best fit his system. If there were players on the 22-23 squad who did (other than Joel), he would have "recruited" them to stay. It was just a case of square pegs in round holes--thay did not fit

A lot of us met him at the first Redmen party in 2001-2003 I don’t remember and I’ve gone to dinner with. Newsie to parkside with traczok and Albano ( Chris ) and newsie is a great guy and there is only 1 person on this board who should not like him and it’s not about basketball .


Our board takes too many sides literally and personally. At the end of the day the guy you want to argue with is most likely a guy you would have a drink with
