Concerning Sanchez, you're reaching. His age is an issue. Lavin knows better than anyone what it's like to be burned by the NCAA. So why not play it as safe as possible until he gets full clearance?
Sorry but if it was just an issue with how many years he had left, not playing him at all just made no sense. It was pretty obvious there was a bigger issue here.
And what were we to go by besides what the head coach himself was telling everybody?
Don't come in here now as the news is about to be released and say that we all were to assume the worse of this. If the head coach is putting out certain information with microphones and tape recorders in his face, we're supposed to say it's something else?
No, I was saying this in posts all last week. In fact it was pretty obvious by the action taken of not playing them and how long it was taking. I am actually surprises that some of you are surprised
And I asked you why should anyone not believe what the head coach was saying? It's a simple question.
Hasn't there been enough doom and gloom around here to think the worse every time something appears to not be going our way?
From your posts, it seems like you wanted Lavin to say in October last year that he wasn't going to coach for the year and this time around on Media Day that Orlando would never suit up in a St. John's uni.
As we discussed I thought the way coach's situation was handled last season was incorrect and led to all the confusion and rumors.
As far as the Sanchez situation I don't have an issue with what coach or the school was saying. I am sure they had their reasons and I am not criticizing. I don't know why so many of you took what they were saying at face value despite what common sense was shouting. I never said coach or the school had to have 100% disclosure. Possibly it was to protect Sanchez. My only point was it was pretty obvious there was a bigger issue than they were disclosing
