Landing Spots for SJU Transfers

The person who reported Marcellus' upcoming commitment (Jake Lieberman) is a sophomore in high school. Reminds me of Alex Kline, who also reported college basketball recruiting news when he was in high school.

I find it amazing that high school aged kids are doing this stuff. Good for them!!!!

As a former high school teacher, give him half credit
Besides, most players' heights are inflated anyway by their teams

Zach B noted for Marcellus;

La Salle, Bryant, San Diego and St Bonaventure among schools involved #sjubb

Would be interesting if goes upstate and joins the Bonnies. They are supposed to be really good next year.

I suppose you have to get in early since there exponentially more young men wanting to get into sports journalism (and growing) than there are sports journalism jobs paying a living wage (and shrinking).  Just have to wonder, given that most of this is just rumor swapping at best and outright plagiarism at worst, who is really worth listening to?  This kid is at least interning at some evaluation site.

PS seems the only job with a lesser success rate due to demand outstripping supply is game developer/tester.  LOL

LSU just picked up a transfer. Didn’t have time to look at his position but seems like a scorer. Curious if that comes into play here.

Strange one for me to understand. Any insight? Transfer down to the middle of nowhere when you had the talent to play big minutes in a top conference?

I think Dunn was told that with Stef Smith here, his playing time was going to be drastically reduced.  You just cant have a 2 guard out there in the big east that cant consistently knocked down 3s.

Guys like Marcellus and Dunn both have intentions of playing professional overseas. They feel the best way for them to do that is to showcase their skills in different ways. For Rasheem that’s probably as a PG and that wasn’t going to happen here. Marcellus said he wants to showcase his perimeter skills a little more and we had him playing closer to the basket.

Probably the weirdest news I’ve heard all off-season.

I thin it’s a good level for him and I’m guessing he will get a shot at Pg spot. Good luck to him.

Based on the programs the SJU players are transferring to or considering It looks like the posters who felt that the players transferring from SJU did not have big east talent were correct and hopefully the players  transferring in will raise the level of play. It would also be nice if the one who does have big east talent , Williams , decides to stay unless Anderson can bring it a player with equal or better talent to replace him .

Pinson is a good player. Hopefully, this makes Williams rethink his decision unless he wants to go to Tulane to be closer to home.

I think some of you guys are overestimating some of these kids including Greg W.  Don't see him getting minutes at a prominent Power 5 school.
