Great info espken. Dove is one of my all-time favorite Johnnies. I wonder who hold the spots above him; probably Leroy Ellis & Mel Davis are up there.

Thanks, Tony Jackson & Zawoluk were both before my time following the Johnnies. I knew Zawoluk was a big man, didn't realize Tony Jackson was such an outstanding rebounder.
 
Needs to be coached up to do so, therein lies the problem. Zendon never passed out of the post either so he's not a great tutor.
Zendon was the black hole: the ball went in to him and there was no way he was going to pass it out. :) Anthony Glover was a shorter version.

QUEENS, N.Y. (March 14, 2023) – St. John’s center Joel Soriano has been named to the United States Basketball Writers Association’s (USWBA) All-District Team, as announced on Tuesday.

The reigning BIG EAST Most Improved Player had a career year this season, averaging 15.2 points and 11.9 rebounds per game, the latter ranked third in Division I. Soriano also registered 24 double-doubles, the second-highest total in the nation and the most by a Johnnie since Walter Berry registered 28 in the 1985-86 campaign.
