Knicks

am i just catching Bridges on "off nights".... cause what i have seen... looks like a completely lopsided trade.... how many firsts did we give up... 4?

Brunson has a horrible habit of reverting to hero ball with this team in the last eight minutes of the fourth quarter. He doesn't show trust in his teammates. Ironically, I think the offense looks better when he's off the ball.
ummm Hero Ball. It sounds eerily similar to someone we all know, that many of us here witnessed personally in a place called the Amica Pavilion recently.

I doubt Brunson's usage rate is much different than last years playoffs, but it still certainly felt like he trusted Donte and Hartenstein more than he trusts Bridges and KAT. We were more dynamic last year despite being a less talented team on paper... emphasis on the "on paper" because I am now convinced last years team was better equipped for the playoffs.
His usage is less this year, but the context matters. Randle was out. And, as you know, Bridges and KAT are massive offensive upgrades compared to what we had last year (at least on paper).

Last year, it was out of necessity. This year, it absolutely isn't.

Yep, and I think what is somehow bugging me the most is how OG is used

OG is strong as hell, he is a load to deal with. There are long stretches of games (especially in crunch time) where he may as well not even run down to join an offensive possession, he has NO chance of touching the ball unless he gets an offensive rebound. I let out a huge laugh when he drilled that prayer 3 late in the game last night. It shouldn't take a desperation heave for him to touch the ball in the 4th. He's a good player and we certainly pay him like it

I’d ask the same question about how do you watch soccer.
To each his own. Have loved pro and college hoops since I was 12 years old and still do.
from abut age 8 was a Knick fan 100%, no Johnnies, when I was about age 14 followed the Knicks 100% and Johnnies 100%.
Age 30 followed Knick games 40% Johnnies 100%
Age 50 25%/100%,
More recently 15%/80%

Still root for the Knicks. It's not that I am not a fan, passion is not there because the NBA is not the game it was when I was age 8 or 14 or 30.

For me the college game is so much more fun than watching A. more superb athletes hoist up (Logo) three pointers (thank you Steph Curry) early in the shot clock, B. run the clock down to 6 seconds before running a play, C. a bunch of Isolations, D. a bunch of spectacular dunks, E. cross court passes and E. passes from underneath the basket to the three point line, and F. not much defense (by and large) until the playoffs.

Red Holzman watching today's NBA action is rolling over in his grave.

Give me last year's Johnnies' run, defense and team ball, great coaching, any day of the week, I guess I'm more with Guinness77 on this NBA/College thing.

Bridges has admittedly been disappointing in the playoff series to date. He was much better over the year played every game averaged 18 ppg on 50% from the field, 35% from three and 81% from the line. Having said that, he was somewhat inconsistent with stretches early on where he was awful and other stretches where he was great. I think part of the problem is all of Bridges, Hart & Anunoby are best suited to play the 3, Bridges is not a great ball handler and was best as a catch and shoot wing with the Suns.

Bridges is not playing horrible but the problem is that the Knicks gave up Superstar assets for a #2/3 option on offense. His D is really good but not as good as OG.

Knicks still win this series and get smacked by the C's. Unless they tighten everything up it could be over in 5
