Kentucky Wildcats

Sounds like a huge UK contingent there.

UK remains undefeated. I'm convinced this team can beat several NBA teams, especially the Knicks!

This Kentucky team won't go undefeated. They can't shoot well. The Harrison are nowhere near as good as advertised. They would be much better if they gave Ullis and Booker more minutes. They win based on their size and their ability to crash the class on the offensive end. This is not a team for the ages that they were made out to be.

I still think they go undefeated. you (and others) say they can't shoot. But when those two guys you mentioned are on the floor they ARE a good shooting team. two near misses in a row but still winning. They've got the guys who can pull out a game in just about any situation. I agree about Ullis. If he were getting starter minutes he might be a lottery pick by the end of the season. On this track he'll need another season. It will be interesting to see how it affects the chemistry for the rest of the season if he does or doesn't get more minutes. That is the real trick for this team. All that talent and ego. How far do team aspirations get sacrificed over NBA mindset?

The worst part of all this is that it wasn't all that long ago that I wanted and expected us to meet them in March.

If we make the Ncaa's you may get your wish. They will be a number one seed and we will be a 16.

I'm assuming that remark was made in jest.

There is almost no chance of us being a 16 seed in the NCAA tournament, ever.

FTR, Georgia won the SEC tournament with a losing overall record 5 or 6 years ago, and they were still seeded 14th. That's about as low as a team like us can go.

I believe Arkansas will beat them

How pissed will IB be if Kentucky returned Ulis, Booker (almost certain for both), the Harrison brothers, and Poythress. They already have #44 ranked Charles Matthews signed at SG and #11 Labissiere signed at C. Cal might have to let some kids out of LOIs if most guys decide to stay. Cauley--Stein and Towns are really the only two that should go after this season.

I disagree. Texas A&M is not even one of the better teams in conference and they could've won this game. Texas A&M best win this year is by 1 point to a weak Arizona state squad.

Georgia, Arkansas, Alabama, LSU, and Florida are all tougher teams then Texas A&M, and Kentucky even looked vulnerable at home against ole miss. I say no way in hell they go undefeated, and I would go as far to say they end up 15-3 in conference.

Not as "pissed" as us for not getting him, considering our challenging PG prospects for next year. :)

They are better off getting challenged and being in close games. Look at unlv 1991. No close games all year and by the time they were in a dog fight with duke down the stretch they had no idea what to do. If we were to play them (which we won't) many posters would pick St. John's to win which would be one of the most entertaining threads ever here.

"Dom is a tough matchup for them. They'll never stop him"

"Who cares if they are ten deep. Our guys can play three games in a day and they won't be tired. That's not a big deal. They'll never wear us down!"

"We won at Syracuse so we are NYs team. This is a magical season for The Johnies (actually Brandon Tierney's words). We will keep rolling"
