The 1983-84 walkon duo of Laskow and Sasko were fan favorites and recollect the crowd roaring when coach put them in garbage time. Jim Sasko also played on SJU baseball team. How can I forget Laskow? Haven’t seen him in years but was a real good guy back then.
Sasko another great guy. He married a woman (Ulrica) from the Women’s Basketball Team and moved to and still lives in her native country, Sweden. He at one time was their National Baseball Team coach. The 1983-84 walkon duo of Laskow and Sasko were fan favorites and recollect the crowd roaring when coach put them in garbage time. That would have made a great law firm nameThe 1983-84 walkon duo of Laskow and Sasko were fan favorites and recollect the crowd roaring when coach put them in garbage time.

Remember it with names reversed thou: Sasko and Lasko. If the walkons were named Sasko and Jones or Lasko and Smith doubt they would have been as popular. The 1983-84 walkon duo of Laskow and Sasko were fan favorites and recollect the crowd roaring when coach put them in garbage time. Totally forgot Rosedale's own Billy Clarke.Missing two players.

Know someone who played HS ball in NJ, and said Jerry Paluch was a big-time recruit and went to SJU. What happened to him?Dick Engert (1956-57) and Jerry Paluch (1967-68) Well done to all.
Who, I think, transferred to rutgers and was booed on his return to AH.Totally forgot Rosedale's own Billy Clarke.
I remember he used to bring the ball up court with a reverse dribble and be called for a backcourt violation. Lou used to put him and Weadock in for the last 2 minutes of the half and our 8–10 point lead would invariably shrink to 2 at halftimeWho, I think, transferred to rutgers and was booed on his return to AH.
Clarke averaged 1.7 ppg in 3 seasons with SJU. He averaged 1.8 in his final year at Rutgers. I guess he made the right decision.Who, I think, transferred to rutgers and was booed on his return to AH.
I remember we beat Syracuse (with Marty Byrnes) 100-75 at AH. Towards the end the crowd was chanting "Wea-dock, Wea-dock" and he responded with 10 points of my memory serves me correctly.I remember he used to bring the ball up court with a reverse dribble and be called for a backcourt violation. Like when Ron Stewart scored 8 points vs DePaul in his Alumni Hall swan song in ‘85I remember we beat Syracuse (with Marty Byrnes) 100-75 at AH. Towards the end the crowd was chanting "Wea-dock, Wea-dock" and he responded with 10 points of my memory serves me correctly.
Remember that game like it was yesterday, all of Alumni Hall was cheering for Ron. I had gotten to know Ron when I came back to college in 1982 since we had the same major. We would get lunch together between classes and hang out until he had practice and I had to get to work.Like when Ron Stewart scored 8 points vs DePaul in his Alumni Hall swan song in ‘85
Another great and classy guy. I remember that game. Bill Wennington got in early foul trouble and Stewart game into the game and played extremely well on both sides of the ball. He deserved those cheers.Remember that game like it was yesterday, all of Alumni Hall was cheering for Ron. I had gotten to know Ron when I came back to college in 1982 since we had the same major.
