Keeping Up With Old Friends Thread

I missed on JC’s NBA success, then again what do I know

That was a really hard one to predict since he was very inconsistent over his final two years here.

Happy for him. The G league, essentially college all star teams, helps guys refine their game against better competition and develop skills they didn't particularly need in college to excel.

Our own Zendon put in a couple of years coaching in the G league. Hoping he finds a solid place in basketball. He's a terrific guy

Wow, pretty impressive numbers for Curbello. Talent was never a question.

What happened to Storr? He started every game at Wisconsin and starts off in Kansas as a bench player?? Did he make a mistake on his decision to transfer to Kansas?

Not a traditional "old friend" for purposes of this thread, but I had a chance to check out good chunks of the NC/Kansas game on Friday night, and I thought "rumored almost old friend" Ian Jackson looked every bit of the part of a big time talented freshman.

Boogie Fland looked very legit last night against Baylor as well. Edgecombe hit key free throws down the stretch... 😑

Addae Wusu's weekend:

Easy to knock Wusu but if I’m coaching I don’t want that pass thrown. Certainly a catchable ball but a wee bit high and hard and he is moving so there is a risk involved in catching it AND then making the layup with a defender there.
You are up, even if you make the layup it is still a one possession game with plenty of time left. You had an excellent chance 1 on 3 to have the wings fan to the corners and run the clock out. Even if you get fouled, the clock is at least run down to desperation heave time.
Your opponent at that time is the clock not the score that doesn’t take it to two possessions.
