Keegan Bradley

I'm curious. Are there people on this board who are interested in Keegan Bradley who wouldn't know how to find the leaderboard at PGATour.com?

Are there people on this Board who are interested in Daryl Homer or Yury Gelman who wouldn't know what a parry, épée, lunge, advance, or riposte are? I would guess yes! We are interested in them as successful St. John's grads. That is enough. Wink!

And we golf fans who have the leaderboard open on our computers all weekend find you ignorant homers annoying, though not as annoying as Tiger fans who don't know if the ball has resin or feathers in it. Wonder if fencing fans feel the same. ;)

As I said, I was just wondering. I don't give a crap about Keegan but I still pretty much know where he is every tournament.

Any reason why you don't give a crap about Keegan?

What an exciting and emotional finish . The intensity showed in his shots , he seemed to be too agressive and put himself in trouble twice but was able to come back and redeeem himself . What a great shot of him as the putt went in on 18 . St. Johns should blow up that picture and put it in a prominent place in Carnasecca . Great to see him proudly wearing the Red and White !!!!!!!!

Great to see a St.John's alumnus doing well. The announcers must have mentioned St. John's ten times during the broadcast. Keegan seems to know how to win, when he has a chance to do so. He is a great fresh new face for golf.

Hey Austour, most fans here never played organized basketball (me included) and could not coach 3 year olds but we love our redmen players and grads who do well in the sport, wherever they end up playing. I am sure redmen golf fans feel very strongly about KB and know how to follow him better than most non-golfers here. Tom started this thread almost a year ago and basically 5 posters, including you, have posted 90% of the responses so I am not sure about who the ignorant homers are that are following this thread. LOL!! I suck at golf so bad that my wife's 80 year old aunt beats me! I do admit though that I never have the leader board open on my mobile but do have Words with Friends open all the time.....even on planes. LOL!

He's not on my fantasy golf team this season, which means my fantasy golf team had a bad week, as if that wasn't already obvious.

I'm not an alum, just a college hoops and golf fan, my two favorite spectator sports (plus NFL I guess) and yes I play some golf though not as much as I used to, kids get in the way though I took my son to the driving range this afternoon. Now we have to figure out how to hook up for a Words With Friends challenge.

Cute.
But just because you aren't an alum and only like the basketball team there are plenty here who are alums and enjoy seeing Keegan's success. Let us enjoy it and smarten up next time and pick him for your fantasy team

Last year he was a bargain, this year he's expensive. Gotta consider ROI based on salary.

And I have no problem with discussions about Keegan at all. I like talking golf. JSJ posting a link to a scoreboard is not discussion.

I know your issue with the leaderboard link being posted.

But you also said you 'don't give a crap about Keegan'. Just saying.

Now lets get back to Keegan defending his PGA title this week.

I think on a SJU board, lots would take offense to that. Gotta love Bradley taking the win here. Go Redmen!

PS Keegan, no one GAF what ball you're using you shill.

Wow. Struck a nerve?

I thought he was talking about his putter. Can we get a clarification on that? I have eight on nine sets and haven't been following equipment that closely. I was also surprised to hear that K is the overall PGA stat leader this year. I thought he might have had an understandable lapse after the PGA win but that's obviously not the case. This is an extreme talent with a genuine pride in SJU. It just doesn't get any better than that plus he's a great guy. Happy times!!!

Pretty sure Srixon only makes balls and thats what I thought he was talking about.

I find no issue with it when you consider every golf out there is dressed from head to toe in advertising. And the top ones are littered in commercials throughout the broadcasts hawking anything from equipment to cars to whatever else.

Srixon makes clubs too...  When I get a chance to play, I use Srixon balls which are great.

Good luck to him but he's not one of my favorite golfers, just saying. And of course defending his title would kill my fantasy team. I guess it's time to start focusing on Fantasy Football anyway, it's been a lost season on the golf circuit.

They don't make good clubs :) As they aren't known for that at least when I worked in the golf industry. Seems like now they are trying to make inroads.

Here is what was in Keegan's bag yesterday. He's a Cleveland guy.

I was about to post that Keegan plays Cleveland clubs and Odyssey putters.

That said if he was defending his putter it would have been a little more acceptable since his and all long/belly putters are a topic of great debate this year with a lot of folks calling for them to be banned.

I think it's great for Keegan to win yesterday. Great for him and being a loyal son/alum, great for St.John's University.

He's a new, refreshing face on the PGA tour and I love that he wears his red/white outfit on Sundays of every tournament... We can all take pride in his accomplishments and he's going to be a factor on this Tour for many years to come.

If he's not already a poster/subscriber to this site, perhaps the mods could invite him to become one. I KNOW TWEETER exists but, it would be great if he posted on here, from time to time..

Since he's a 2008 grad of the school, I'm sure someone on here knows him and can invite him, if he's not already a subscriber.

I hope he continues this week at Kiawah for the PGA Tourney. it would be great if he repeated last year's win again.

Going out on a limb but I take you as someone who doesn't like belly putters.
