Keegan Bradley

Keegan Bradley is a lock. Don't be so sure of Hunter Mahan because he won an event on a course he has played well on. Just saw and article by Mike VanSickle who didn't even have Keegan high in choices. Never liked the fact that Keegan kicked his son's ass all thru college and as a professional. Ryan Moore is going to be picked along with Webb Simpson !!!

Hunter also had a great weekend and a top 10 at the PGA. Plus he's been one of the US's best golfers for 7 or 8 years. That experience will be important with newbies like Reed, Walker and Spieth on the team. Webb Simpson hasn't had a top 10 in a "full field" event since Phoenix. He's feasted on the secondary tour (Greenbrier, St Jude, Wyndham, fall events), that's not going to get him on the team. Nor will missing the cut in 3 of 4 majors. I'd love to see Ryan Moore on the team. He's a grinder. Just doesn't seem to get the respect he deserves. Plus he wears a stupid hat. ;)
 
PS Hunter was trying to play through an injury since the spring. It's obvious he's back in form now. He will be on the team.
 
FWIW if Cameron Tringale or Bill McGirt had won last weekend they wouldn't be getting the same consideration.

Even though this weekend's leaderboard looked like another secondary tour event, and Simpson trailed off yesterday anyway, he gets in. We both got two correct. Snedeker's two missed cuts in the Fedex were his downfall.
 
Well, Keegan's season is over after a very odd withdrawal this morning. Could be that he really was bothered by the ruling he got on Thursday. Could be that he just wanted to join Phil in resting up for the Ryder Cup. FWIW playing these events in 4 consecutive weeks is a bit stupid. Very rarely do any but the youngest of these top golfers play 4 weeks in a row. The grinders outside the top 30, sure, but not the top guys. Starting next year there is going to be a one week break between the 2nd and 3rd stops on the tour. Good move.
 
Keegan Bradley has round 1 lead @PGATour Waste Management Open in Pheonix. Shot 6 under par 65. Andrew Svoboda on the course right now @ 2 under par.
 
Keegan definitely lost his cool and was initially in the wrong. Miguel telling the caddy to shut up, though, was not exactly polite and was what elevated it further.
 
Just watched a profile of Keegan on CBS (PGA Tour 2015: Coming Home) with him back home in Vermont.

Keegan wasn't wearing any SJU apparel but his Mom was wearing a green SJU hat with red lettering.

My wife and I have had the great pleaure of meeting his mom, dad and aunt at several tour events over the last few years and I am delighted to report that they are very, very nice people.

By the way, today is KB's 29th Birthday. Happy Birthday !!!!
