Kadary

I was at a known mob owned Italian restaurant in Providence after the loss and a guy next to me told me he get a tip to bet Arkansas on Saturday … 🤨🤔🤔
NC Johnnie and I were at a mob-adjacent Italian restaurant Friday night eating our fish dinners, and no one gave US any tips. But that was before the Loss, not AFTER the loss. After the oucome is decided, anyone can say anything, lol.

Getting back to Kadary, his uncle Kofi Richmond said you cannot believe what a polite, classy, quietly funny, unassuming kid Kadary has matured into. His fire is intense but he keeps it all inside and under control.

Kofi said one of the Arkansas kids was trash talking him, and Kadary's response is to not talk back and take it to the trash talker with his play. Apparently Kadary has done this throughout his life even on the tough playgrounds of Brooklyn. His uncle used the words "he kills the trash talker" by "beating him".

I came around to not only liking KR, but loving the kid, his game, his attitude and I was very sad to see his career end on Saturday.

Forget point shaving. Pay the refs.

(Edit: The easiest way to affect the outcome of a game, is get to a single ref who takes a couple of kids off the floor in foul trouble. He then evens in up later in the game against lesser opposing players. The fouls look even, but he tilted the table. Kadary 5 fouls in 16 minutes, to a player who isn't foul prone
)

Grew up loving Clyde Frazier. Most he would ever do is purse his lips, pump his fist ever so slightly, acknowledging to himself a big shot, or steal and layup. Let his game do all the talking.

24-25 Red Storm, a team of throwback players, who finally reclaimed New York. In process, the entire country was rooting for them.

Perfect analogy Beasts. Kadary is cool, calm and collected on the court just like Clyde. Only thing is Clyde when he ended up on the court, on his back, say, he would lay there an extra second or so, to gather his breath and then get back up. I don't remember Kadary doing that.

I heard in an interview Clyde say he did that to give himself a very brief "personal time-out" in order to re-compose.

The word that comes to mind for both players: unflappable.

Twitter (now X) has this Spaces feature where random people (Ryan Olson young Johnnie fan and others) "Host" a call in forum, and anyone that wants to can ask questions make comments or comments about Johnny Nation. Tuesday night Kadary's uncle Kofi Richmond joined and stayed for at least 90 minutes.

About a month ago, another Johnny fan named Ryan Patrick Esq. (also hosts Fordham Spaces as he is a Fordham Law alum) hosted a Spaces and Sim's older brother joined and was a fun listen. He told the story of how upset at himself Sim was for trying the dunk at the end of a blowout. Sim's brother made it sound like Sim's family really liked him being at St. John's, coached by Coach P and sounded like Sim is a 4 year player here. [But who knows now that was before our portal moves.]

Tom in Salem has been on some of these Spaces.
It was Barzini all along.
Love that Movie!

That sounded like an endorsement - and then it took a wicked turn.
