Sources: St. John's Justin Simon will sign with an agent and enter the 2019 NBA Draft. Plans to stay in. #SJUBB

good luck to him, although im sure whoever gets hired here will at least reach out to him so maybe it is not the last we see of him

Hello Europe
Good luck, Justin
You were a good player at St John's but the NBA?
Nah

What are these kids thinking? Almost makes me think they haven't seen an NBA game before. Simon is a very solid player and seems like a great kid, however that doesn't exactly translate to the NBA.

Sad. Not an NBA player of course, but will make money somewhere. Big loss, and one step closer to starting with a pretty thin roster.

It's only Day One after the stories on Mullin's departure hit the news wires. What will the roster look like next week?

Cragg better have a replacement ready to go by the end of the week. You don’t let go of one branch before you have a hold of the next.

Pitino and Hurley have massive egos, the bigger the challenge the more they can crow about it after they turn it around. I doubt any player defections matter to them.

Seriously I love Simon he’s a great defensive player and hustles his ass off but he can’t shoot he’s not an NBA player.

Depends on who the new coach brings in.

Is he delusional about his overall game? What position does he really think he is suited to fill in the NBA. This is not football where the need practice players. OMG, really! I'm not even sure if he had another year of college basketball if he would qualify for an NBA position.

This is laughable. He showed he wasn’t the best self-evaluator of his abilities by his persistence to shoot and dribble the basketball.

Really limited player it’s not a popular sentiment but this is addition by subtraction.

In Pitino's case, you're probably right, but if Hurley stays at ASU, they should be pretty good next year, maybe one of the favorites in the Pac-12.

If he starts comparing rosters, he may get second thoughts about coming here.

Justin is on schedule to graduate this year. Is one additional year of playing in college going to really improve his draft status? I doubt it. So he is graduating and has decided not to use his last year of eligibility by taking graduate courses. That is all this is. Since he has a year left of eligibility, evidently you have to declare for the draft. He is doing what most college students do when they graduate and don't continue on for advance degrees, he is looking for a job.

Instead of bashing his decision, lets try something novel and wish him luck. He has his degree and represented us well.

I really hope someone - either ex-staff or ex-players goes on record about the cause of this over and it's repeated occurrence (every 4 years, on average).

We all know damn well what causes it. Because half of you fans LIVE for this.
