.       Maven’s son was HTGS . I liked both of them but , agree the feud between those 2 was never ending .   Maven and Tom , i mean .

Maven's son had at least a half a dozen screen names, I believe he was banned a couple times.  Was going by something to do with Stallion at one point.  Again, someone I'm sure Maher could update you about.
Chris was Black Stallion and HTGS I forget if he had other names. I haven't seen him in a while but long time ago him me newsman and raczok went to Parkside in Corona for dinner plus I would see him at other things. He's a good dude. Definitely mellowed out since the Norm years

As long as you didn't go to a strip club in Pittsburgh with him you guys were safe.  I kid, I kid.

One thing I will say is that the guys who disappear are usually those who take themselves, the team or both way too seriously, and usually irrationally.  Then they either blow up and get banned, or have an aha moment and walk away for their own sanity.

A lot of times life gets in the way. I was away for years after my wife was killed in an automobile accident five and a half years ago. I just lost interest even though I still went to games and was still a season's ticket holder. My entire perspective changed and I wasn't myself. Maybe some of these guys had life changing events that's caused them to stop posting. We should say a prayer for them.
All I can say is that you guys are part of my recovery. I was recently diagnosed with PTSD from the accident and some other unfortunate life events. I now realize that I need SJU basketball and someone to share it with to help me get back on track in life and this board is part of my recovery.
Thank you my Redmen.com brothers.

after all the shit we've been through as fans the last 20 years I dont fault anyone from walking away. Heck the reason I come here most is because I'm friends with most of you guys so for me it's a place to come talk hoops etc with my friends. it certainly isnt to talk about years of quality basketball

Who was that guy JR Green or SL Green or something? Showed up when Lav was hired touting his greatness at UCLA. Supposedly(coincidentally?) he  got very ill when Lav was on the hot seat, then disappeared when Lavin was let go. I was always skeptical of the guy, much as I am the guys(family members?) who showed up when Norm and CMA were hired. It didn't happen so much when Mullin was hired. Of course, none of them were/are real SJU fans and disappear as soon as the coach does.

One of the members where?

Couple other guys that people asked about over there on this thread. Baldi he's fine just hasn't posted. I messaged with him few days ago. He's very active posting the disgusting conditions in NYC thanks to Deblasio. Carmine posts over there still once and a while he's a really good dude loved Mullin as a coach way too much if it was up to him Mullin would have lifetime contract but other than that he's a great guy have met him a few times. Poison can go mental sometimes but he makes some pretty good basketball obersvations and I think he mentioned long time ago he punched a priest or pushed one down so he's either crazy or could be related to satan but in this word of insane st johns posters he's not even top 10 crazy

I'm skeptical Mike. Not of you, obviously, but of the whole story.

So sorry to hear about your misfortunes, Greg
Be rest assured, we're here for you!!!

Same here Mike. I wouldn't be nearly as committed to the program if not for all of you guys. Many of whom, like you, have become really good friends. We've shared joys and sorrows over the years, unrelated to SJU basketball. But SJU BB was the common denominator that brought us together via this incredible website. So, having said all that, I will be forever grateful to SJU and especially to Paul, for giving me the opportunity to met and become friends with you and so many other incredible members of Redmen.com

Yes mj we sat together at a BE tournament game many years ago. I forget who introduced us and I can't remember who we were playing but we were sitting in the section behind the student section at MSG.
Yes I did work for the TSA and just retired this past August. I'm moving to Longboat Key in Florida in May.
I never mentioned my wife's unfortunate demise because I had a hard time dealing with it. I've gotten some help and now I'm trying to put my life back together.
She and I got engaged in 1998 at center court at a Duke/SJU game at MSG. The SJU staff was amazing at arranging it and fooling her into thinking that she was going to be in a shoot out contest. It was one of the best days of my life. The only negative was that Duke beat us by 17, I think. LOL!

Is it possible that you knew my friend Frank Guinan somehow and that's how we met? He used to go to a lot of games with me.

Way before the renovation. If I remember correctly, which may be suspect, I think that you and Frank started talking on the beer line while I was in the men's room and when I came back he told me that you were a Redmen.com guy. I could be wrong but I think that's how it happened.
