Joe Panik

Panik is back in the starting line-up tonight for the first time since June 27.

Joe was on The DL with delayed concussion symptoms. He was hit in the head by a pitch. on June 18 when the Giants faced Tampa Bay
 
Joe was 3 for 4 with a walk today vs the Nationals.

All of his hits were singles.

Do we have any other players who are in, or close to being in the Majors. Maybe some September call ups ?
 
As long as we have a quasi SF Giant thread going I thought I'd mention this. In all my years of checking box scores, and they have been many, Matt Cain's line in relief is one that I don't ever recalling seeing before:
0.2 IP 8 Earned runs.

For a starter, not so unusual. But for a reliever in close game(before he entered) in the 8th, very. Second unusual stat line of the day by Joey Votto

Agree. Especially when managers use 5-6 pitchers in an inning.
